vokf 0
Marquee wedding for us - part of a hotel chain. Was originally quoted 9pm-midnight, then client asked us to play until 1am, so re-quoted. We're providing up-lighting for this gig, and have met the couple who chose us as we were willing to accept their playlist. I've had to spent about £15 on music for the gig - some songs will remain gathering dust, but there were a few gems that I didn't have. We have to use the venues sound system - a bashed up amp in a rusting 19" rack. I'm taking my spare amp, just in case... Speakers are in a suspended ceiling over the dance-floor. PAT test was out of date on our client/venue meet. Ho Hum! Will try to get a few pics.. Playlist is at; http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/index.php?s=&...st&p=254561 Nothing else... probably Van hunting if I offload the car tonight.. Ok guys! Over to you!!!!

gadget 0
School PTA Summer Far on Saturday 12-3pm. I'm going to be using all four speakers this time... However I only have two speaker stands (and one t-bar stand which is 35mm pole anyway, so that will work just as well). Mostly summerly hits / current / etc. All background plus the usual announcements such as who's won "Name the Teddy" etc... I may have to throw one of those two tracks in... One of my radio mics is buggered, which is rubbish, the other one seems to be working fairly Ok though so at least I can wander around a little bit.. MintyDave 0
Nowt for me sadly this weekend, not for the want of trying. I even tried a couple of Goodparty hits to no avail. I was asked to do a saturday night pub karaoke 7.30 to 12.30 for £75 but as its just before payday for many (major local employers pay on last working day of the month) i know it would be a complete waste of time and decided on a night off instead to get some major work done at home. cant have it all, have been very busy and have pleanty booked in for July Aug and September. wizard 0
I know Tewinbury Farm as we had a couple of work away days there a few years ago. Very nice place should be lovely for a wedding. I do quite a few weddings there and yes it is a lovely venue, we didnt get setup until nearly 10pm, as usual they were running late....it is very expensive tho....my son looked there for his wedding reception in August but it was way too expensive. ( and yes I am doing the disco :-) The Tythe Barn is the better of the rooms....although I do like the large Marquee as the acoustics are always good in a Marquee The oldest swinger in town....... probably. Happy Easter.. well I have seen easter eggs in the shops
