Peavey Pro 15's

Hi there i am looking in to buying a set of peavey pro 15 speakers 300w rms just wondering what Ohms rateing to select

 

speakers are 300w rms 4 Ohms or 300w rms @ 8 Ohms

 

 

The amp is a pulse 900w amp

 

450w @ 4 Ohms

 

or

 

300w @ 8 Ohms

 

Need as much help as possable Guys

You don't need to select anything, the amount of Ohms per channel depends on how many speakers you have connected and what rating they have, those speakers are 300W @4 Ohm and the amp is 450W @4 Ohm. This is fine, just keep an eye on your mixer levels and don't send a clipped signal to your amp.

The Peavey Pro MKII's come in both 8 Ohm and 4 Ohm variants. Obviously at 8 Ohms you'll stress the amp less (half the load than a 4 Ohm speaker would give).

 

If your amp can supply 300w at 8 Ohms, then go for the pair of 8 Ohms ones... If in emergency you need to double-up the speakers onto one channel (a channel goes down on the amp, and the other one carries on), then you could just piggyback both speakers off the one channel, to present a 4 Ohm load (albeit at a reduced volume).

Ah I see, I just googled peavey pro 15 and the ones that came up were 4 Ohm
