Anyone Need A Helping Hand?

Recommended Posts

I've seen that you get a great amount of experience from being a Roadie, I don't know the full specifications on what they do but I'm guessing they help set up, maybe play a few tunes, help pack away after and serve the DJ's refreshment needs. :p

I live in Portsmouth, United Kingdom so I need someone in that area. I obviously am doing it for free, I just want experience. If anyone is close by and had any offers, I'll appreciate it.

Hi Gazz. It's a real shame we aren't a bit closer, I could have done with some help and someone to have a laugh with. Not sure what I could teach you though!

Unfortunately there are v few DJs in Pompy .Most of the fellas are still trying to play football.

Being a roadie is most defo the best way to gain experience... I was a roadie for 12 months before I started on my own.

You're going about it the right way Gazz. Living in a remote part of the UK myself, I know how hard it is to find a decent local DJ who is willing to work with you. Stick with it.

I'm a DJ based in Northern Ireland with nearly 10 years' experience offering a range of services. Including club residencies, karaoke, pub quizzes, specialised wedding service, Master of Ceremonies, Compere, Night at the Races and much more.

I think the Senior DJs are warming to your cautious but proffesional approach.
