  1. QUOTE (Kingy @ Jun 12 2006, 12:30 PM) The van has so far had: Two new wheel bearings for the front and one on the rear offside. Inner drive bearing New horn Indicators no longer self cancel Exhaust. Three tyres. Milage today: 30844 (from new, it had 400 on the clock when I bought it off the main dealers) I WILL NEVER,EVER BUY ANOTHER BOXER VAN!!! It doesn't say a lot for the Reliability of the Peugeot Boxer van! We have had one Peugeot & one Citroen, & that was enough to put us off of getting anything French ever again.

  4. There is no way I would have root canal work done again, once was enough! 18months of agony & after £350 worth of treatment the tooth had to be taken out. My latest dentist also wanted to crown 4 of my teeth which he has told me will cost more than double the estimate so far, my response was “don’t be daft its going to take me about a year to get the initial work done because I could only afford to have one filling a month at their prices & I had no intention of re-mortgaging the house” At least the 2 that have to come out arn't going to cost me anything, I think i'll see if they wil
  5. After searching high & low for a NHS dentist in my area I finally had to go private because 2 fillings had fallen out, http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/oops.gif I hadn’t been to the dentist for the last 4 years after mine decided to go private £$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$ (loads ‘o’ money) http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/363.gif For the initial consultation and 2 fillings they charged me £200, then they gave me the good news, 1 wisdom tooth which is only just peeping through the gum & the tooth next to it need surgically removing (appointment made with the hospital) & al
  6. We had exactly the same problem with a ProSound 1000 Amp; it would peak at half volume while at zero DB on the mixer. In fact we had a Stageline 400 which had a lot more output than the ProSound 1000. If your budget is tight go for a Behringer EP1500 or 2500, or if you can find anyone selling them C-Mark Amps.

  8. Unfortunately there are always a few bad apples in every box! So please don’t tar everyone with the same brush, after all if we did than that would mean every BMW car driver would assume they can drive at double any speed limit & use the hard shoulder to overtake. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/laugh.gif After riding through 32 winters & suffering form cold hands, feet & everything in between, I now have heated grips & a full faring & for the last 2 years these have made riding through the winters an absolute pleasure. I had almost forgot how good it was u

  10. QUOTE (norty303 @ Jan 18 2006, 12:29 AM) I've never had any problems with Thomann when i've dealt with them. Are we talking about the same place as the OP? From our own experiance we have used them twice now, no problems what so ever & quick delivery. they get my http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif
  11. After having 3 Indesit washing machines over 28 years we went for another Indesit a year a go, this had both hot & cold connections BUT it has been a pile of rubbish. The bearings have had to be replaced twice & the drum replaced in that year, all done under warrantee luckily.

  13. Having just got the Class-D speakers I can highly recommend them, http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif like yourself we looked at the KAM’s but decided to not bother going on their previous reputation. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbdown.gif We have the JAC12’s & they are good enough to run on their own & should cope with 100 to 150 people with ease, don't forget to use speaker poles to get them at head height. If you think you may do larger groups, have the space & can afford a little more then go for the JAC15’s, they are rated at 500W RMS &am
  14. Class-D is not a name I had heard of before, nor had anyone else we asked, that was before asking about speakers on this forum. Chris Pointon & DJ Dickie recommended the Class-D speaker package, comprising of a pair of JAC15’s a pair of CD15’s complete with speaker poles. For those who didn’t see my earlier post, my son had decided to get some new speakers at the start of this year. These were to replace his ageing & abused old ones; he was looking for something with good sound quality but with more power, whilst being hopefully smaller & lighter than his old ones, so we decided
  15. QUOTE (ADS Entertainments @ Jan 6 2006, 08:16 AM) I only smoke after sex If that’s the case Andy you need to slow down a bit, or use a better lubricant. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/071.gif No one in our house smokes even though our parents did.
  16. QUOTE (DJ Dicky @ Jan 1 2006, 05:07 PM) QUOTE (Chris_Pointon @ Jan 1 2006, 12:45 PM)Mention DJU and you may even get a discount. That could always be arranged Dicky Dicky! My son has just been inn touch with me & after some discussion he likes the look of your JAC12-15 package deal. Do you have these in stock & is there any way my son could pop over to you to hear them? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/notworthy.gif He feels it may be worth travelling the 260mile round trip, which would also mean you would get paid in cash. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emotic

That could always be arranged Dicky Thanks for the offer Dicky, but as already said here sound quality is a personal thing & I know he won’t buy any speakers without hearing them first. Please don’t take this the wrong way but it’s something he is very fussy about (even though he can’t afford to be that fussy) during his first year of doing mobile discos, he was changing his speakers & amps almost as often as I changed my socks. http://www.dj-forum
  18. Thanks for the feedback so far, I’ll pass your thoughts on to him. I failed to mention he is thinking of replacing both the bass bins & the tops for £700, the old Peavey tops cost £200 & the old Omitrionic bass bins only cost £150 when he got them. So he was hoping by spending more than twice as much he may be able to get something better, he is also looking at hopefully reducing the size & weight of the old speakers without loosing quality. He intends to have a run around on Tuesday to listen to as many as he can within his price. Now I know some of you out there will probably be
  19. Does anyone have any experience of DAP speakers? Good or bad ???? My son has decided to invest up to £700 on some new speakers for the start of this year, & these fall within the price Bracket. His old peavey ST-15’s have taken a lot of abuse over the last two & a half years, & considering they are only rated at 150W RMS they have been used with a 250W RMS AMP for most of that time without any complaints. We have had good service from these where as the Omnitronic bass bins have been another story, they were rated at 300W RMS & with these running from the same AMP they blew th

  21. I had to spend all day Christmas Eve stripping out half the kitchen & fitting a new sink & worktop after it sprang a leak the night before. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/014.gif As usual none of the old plumbing would line up, so everything had to be changed including all the waste pipes. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wallbash.gif Christmas day managed to get to kitchen usable for now, worktop still has to be screwed down & finished off but that can now wait until Tuesday, the rest of today was spent cleaning 2 cars & a motorbike, now stuffed full of

QUOTE (Chris_Pointon @ Dec 23 2005, 09:11 AM) With £4m million I could think of better things to do for enjoyment http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/smile.gif Just scanning 'Cheshire Life' for my next property, Something like This (PDF File) would be ideal, and a mere snip at £725,000 Andy, can you lend me £724,995? 24. The first time I came across these e-mails I was at work & I have never used online banking from there only from home, so I was a bit suspect which turned out to be a good thing. They look so good I could have been easily fooled if I had seen it from home first!
