  12. Hi Andre, Welcome to the DJU forum http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/042.gif QUOTE When I do buy an amplifier - what is the minimum amount of watts I should be going for? And what brands should I pursue or stay away from? The "amount of watts" would roughly be based on the amount of people you will entertain in a night. Give us an idea of the average number of guest's you'd be playing too, and we'll help you out http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif QUOTE Any beginner tips as far as mixing? 17. Welcome to the forum Wilson. Both the TT200's and XL500 arent bad turntables to start out on, I have used the TT200's before and they did handle quite well through abit of scratching and back cueing. The only downside to the 200's is the design, I personally dont like the "battle" way round but you can turn the turntable around to which you prefer.
  18. I have an XTC and the wild blaze, both very good lights, nice and bright and strong caseing. The geni blaze effect is abit like a vasto, but has a 250W bulb, the colour dish just rotates to the music.

  20. QUOTE I have one amp pushing my four 18 inch woofer's, And then another pushing four 15 inch sub's along with two tweeter's I guess your 18" woofers are in 4 seperate cab's, and you have 15"bass drivers/tweeters in the 4 other cab's. These then run off of 2 amps, one powering the 4 woofers, and the other powering the 4 15" cabs. If this is your set-up, you must already have a crossover to allow the 15"/tweeters to handle higher end frequencies and 18"s to handle bass. I'm confused-lol http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/wacko.gif BTW the 15" would have a crossover built in to
  21. QUOTE the two parts of the dual CD player using the DIN sockets. Yep, the controller (bit with all the buttons) and the player bit (cd drawers) ,good tips, make sure the cable is the correct way round (some have a marking) and make sure the cable is not crushed, this can cause problems with buttons on the controller not reaching cd player section so dont work. QUOTE the 'line out' of the CD player to 'line' of the mixer (x 2). These are RCA cables (one black/white and one red-same connectors both ends) the colours are for left and right channels, red is right side and black/white is le
