  1. Cool Tune! OK, Saturday, doing an 18th in a marquee in Biddenden in Kent. Sunday BBQ!
  2. There we go, all done: UKhero event 2007 :bouncy:
  3. lol! does god have a link back to DJU then? I don't think she has.... :amen: Would DJU benefit from a return link on the houseproud site? I can stick one in there if you want.
  4. Nik, The rules clearly state: 12a) DJ's United allows members to link to their own/retailer/association/event Websites in their profiles and signatures (provided those websites comply with the contents of this Code of Conduct) and to have their websites reviewed in the relevant section. If you do link to your website then you are also required to provide a return link back to us. Banner and text links are available for this purpose. Random & periodic checks will be made by the Admin/Moderating team. Any link from this forum that is not supported by a reciprocal back-link will be
  5. Duke did a great track called SO IN LOVE WITH YOU which features an awesome bass sweep
  6. It cost £71 with shipping, VAT, etc for mine, but that was a bespoke unit - BARGAIN!
  7. I have recently invested in a Voltex SP390J. This is a powerstrip with 4 sockets, and a proper surge protection circuit (unlike some of the cheap rubbish available on the high street!), and mine has had a RCD fitted to it as an option. Mikeee has PAT tested it for me, so you should ask him about the issue with surge protectors. The MD of Voltex - Paul Boardman was very knowledgeable and helpful when I spoke with him. This is the 6 way version without the RCD: http://www.voltexelectronics.com/catalogue1/surge_protection_filter_uk_3.jpg When you call him, tell him where you he
  8. Exactly! Those planning consultations with brides and grooms can bring out some fun ideas, specially as most brides who visit the bridal forums have seen this video too!
  9. Thanks guys, ripping the video is not workable, too much going on other than the music. If you look at the similar topics post by Paul Smith below, it's that wedding video which gave me the idea.
  10. Sorry to go slightly off topic, just an idea - Gary, Splosh, are you both going to the SEDA Show Night on 20th May?
  11. I play the normal album version, possibly like everyone else, but seeing the video again reminded me of an extended version I have heard in the distant past. The extended bit is the bit where the ghouls do that dance. Does anyone know where I can buy this version?
  12. Friday: got a shout (45min into show) for houseproud on Pete Tong's Essential Selection  Saturday: I set up in a beautiful marquee in Hook, and did the background music bit as well as the party. Strange, throughout the meal, the punters were really quiet... Party was OK although a little subdued as well  As the couple got married in Mexico, I did a latin jazz set followed by some funky house. A few people came up asking for track names & said that was really pleasant  For the first time in 25 years, had a request for Jive :cense: Bunny :protest:
  13. Welcome! I know what you mean about the 9-5 job!!!! So, where are you based then?
  14. Nice interview Simon, I will pop in for a cuppa as soon as I get a spare hour!!! Not quite sure what you mean here...... There are loads of very good reasons I can think of why some of us chase this work. Mind you I would say the booking fees are not huge, they are average.
  15. I'm bored with mine now..... I think I'll go for a walk. They're all eating now, and it's one of the quietest crowds I have seen so far
  16. Well I am here playing smooth jazz whilst the wedding party are drinking on the lawn. All very nice... The marquee looks fab, they have soundproofed it and bought 2 farms nearby, so no noise issues. There is free wifi too, so the boredom is less than usual.

    Three Tunes

That is on the new Whitedisc CD, can't remember the name, but I think it's with Shakira. I'll look later & get back to you.
  18. C'mon then Andy, what can the FSB do for its members then?
  19. Sat: Wedding in marquee in Hampshire. Anyone fancy joining me? Sun: Formula A1 Grand Prix at Brands Hatch :toot:
  20. Hold up the garage door whilst loading up in a gale.
