  1. Being a current Crown user I found the provided software interface to be ok but somewhat limited by only being able to have one window active at any given time. When you're tweaking system settings and need to access several screens to do so it can be a little tiring switching back and forth and then back again to re-check settings etc.. Also as I found out after many changes some of the values would not match as the GUI was limited in this area. In responce to this I decided to design and create my own custom control panels for the amplifiers. I started with the very basic by
  2. Yup, I add a set charge for ANYTHING off the ground floor. Though in reality if it's only a few steps then I don't charge. Doesn't matter if there is lift access or not, it still adds to the time and time equals money.
  3. Only certain Seminars will be aired anyway. Denon was not on the list, well not mine anyway. lol As you state, without the video feed, there is no point. Probably be the NADJ and DJA for starters... If anyone wants the Really Juicy seminars they must attend in person.. hehe
  4. Yes, there will be a live internet stream from the show all day. With interviews from Visitors, Exhibitors and other guests. Anyone who wants to know more about internet radio can pop by the radio stand and ask questions and see for themselves how easy it really is to setup :) Hope to hear plenty of DJ U members on the air... Say hello to your friends who couldn't make it :) There will most probably be an interview with Gary, as he'll be there. Let's hope he isn't shy.. hehe
  5. Exhibitor List and item/info List: Here's a quick run down on Exhibitors / attendees and also main product brands that are being fully supported within the show. DJ Show North BPM Show Prolight Concepts Cookies DENON LFX Group Phase One Pro Mobile Magazine NADJ The Disc Jockey Association Mixmash West Coast Radio Cortex Buster Cases Ultimax Fohhn Companies being supported: Pioneer Pro Wharfedale Pro McGregor Numark D2 + other new products Kam Seminars include: Basic Sound Advanced Sound Cables & Conne
  6. Update: DJ Rigs have been slimmed down considerably to ONE. I have a DJ who has offered to display his rig in this location, however I recall someone off here who wanted to show their rig, so the DJ on here will have first refusal on that space. I didn't have their contact details so had to wait for the forum to come back in order to contact them. I'll also post a list of Exhibitors up later this evening. And I'll sort out a Visitor Floor Plan very soon too.
  7. Replied to your PM. In short, if you need a member of staff to help on the stand during a seminar slot, then that should be no problem. Keep the visiting DJs happy until a Denon rep is free to chat with them.
  8. Have replied, double cheers. lol Gary, Ah Denon, ok cool. They are one that I am chasing up at the moment. Not replied to my last email... yet :) Always difficult getting companies to part with their petty cash tin contents. Up to now the entire Show is funded form my own pocket... so be nice to put some food back on the table over the next month. lol You know I am thinking about popping my own rig in there, but i won;t be with it most of thr time,, suppose I could leave a comments box on it. lol make interesting reading later that's for sure. Like some other D
  9. Well Gary was the only one to understand the concept of this, and maybe Roadie.. not sure on that one yet. lol It's not a "mine bigger than yours" hence why the audio will not be amplified. It was merely a chance to setup your normal rigs and allow others to see how YOU do it, and for YOU to take in Comments and Suggestions, or even advice on how YOU could better YOUR rigs. So it seems everyone has the perfect rig already and are themselves endowed with large ego's and do not want nor need any advice from your peers. I wonder, if PLASA had an area where DJs setup their rigs
  10. I thought I'd make this request in a new post rather than attach it to the Pro DJ Show post, in case it got lost or overlooked. Basically, for those who are yet unaware, there will be a small selection of DJ Rigs setup at the show. These are for visitors to look at, around etc... and to see how other DJs and rigs are setup. The rigs should be setup as they would be normally, this then creates an ideal opportunity for visitors to get new ideas and or to give good advice to those who own the rigs. Now as it happens, I have one space up for grabs due to someone pulling out.
  11. Often at weddings even if it has been a VERY slow start, so long as the last hour is complete mayhem on the floor, that's all most guests will remember :) A great finish always supercedes a poor start. However a great start with a poor ending is bad.
  12. UPDATE! Visitor Pre-Registration will close on March 19th at Noon. This is to ensure we have enough time to process all the applications so your badges will be ready for collection upon arrival.
  13. No, Bun fight would be cool.. I'll supply the buns,, make for some good wagers and photo's. LOL Sorry Tony, did I excite you there.... must be more careful over my words. LOL
  14. Well I can confirm that DJ Show North will be exhibiting at the Pro DJ Show.. :) As will BPM.
  15. Jeff, I may be arranging a DMX workshop at the Pro DJ Show in March. I read in the show thread that you may be going anyway, so if you do it might well pay off for you with plenty of DMX knowledge upon your return home. DMX is basically easy to understand, it's all the Chinglish instructions that throw a lot of people off. I wrote the instruction manual for a well known controller that a few people use... all in plain english with easy to follow steps. However not every DMX controller is the same, which again is where confusion sets in.
