  1. Never get rid of my CDs if I gave up. Taken me ages to build up my collection and knowing me in x years I'd get the bug again and have to restart from scratch..
  2. I really like Dreamweaver. Used to hate it (previously used homesite and then edit pad) - took me ages to get used to the interface, but now use it for pretty much everything. Good piece of software, though is pricey for what is effectively a jazzed up notepad..
  3. Terratec Aureon ? I think No idea what it's like and seems to come in £5 over your budget (+ delivery)
  4. It's more than that. I rarely hook my mp3 player up to my laptop more than once a month and it's only when I leave it longer than a month do I have problems with the tracks losing their licence..
  5. Aww bum. Kinda glad I wimped out of going yesterday now :P
  6. Or buy an extra 4 roboscans that I'm pondering over selling? :P
  7. If it was the Numark one that was at Plasa this year (can't remember the name of it - but it's the one that's not released yet) then I'd wait till they have ironed out all the bugs (we made it skip, pause etc). Felt cheap too
  8. Got 2 amps so if one goes, I'll just kill the bass bins for the night. If my crossover goes, then ditto (or feed full range signal to the bins).. If the CD decks go, I'll just swap over to the PC that controls me lights and use PCDJ that's installed on there. If my mixer goes, I can plug everything into the line in's on my pc and use the windows mixer (I think) - only thing I'd be stuffed with is the mic. But meh, talking is so over-rated these days. If I go - my overweight roadie can sweat his way through the night for me.
  9. Would love to, but Maidstone is a pain in the bum to get to on a Sunday, by train..

    Pearl Jam

Or "Once" or "Even Flow" off the same album - bit more lively than those 2. There's a few good tracks on the VS album, but I can't for the life of me remember their names.

    just a simple help

    Yup! Make mine a 99..
  12. .. and the Roboscan 812s I got the freestyler fixture file for the LED pars if you want them Mr Brian?
  13. Some also allow you to whack them back into S2L mode using DMX (EVL star is one that does this)
  14. Never understood that, he's got (what looks to be) expensive lighting gear and then goes and ruins it by whacking a rope light over it and rather fetching lightscreen version of the great wall of china across the front (made up of more rope lights if I remember correctly). Apologies if that's anyones rig http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif But yeah there does look to be a gap by his speaker, but still - not very good positioning. Lose a couple of the screens on the left (or all of them) and move the speaker in closer!
  15. I've got 8 scans (!). Generally only use them at 18ths or 21sts. Use freestyler to control them - so it's pretty easy to change the space they are allowed to scan around. Get them up high as possible and point them down a wee bit. My Barrels on the other hand..

QUOTE (The Moley One) Didn't find the Void room, but did find the F1 room, funny how the lights in the ceiling were resonating! Oct 6th - Burgess Hill. Come help us destroy ceiling tiles at the u18s night! I'll remember to bring my Chavvy Bass Test CD thing. Nova-tastic
  17. Something like these bad boys? If so a the Ref 139 stand is a bargain here! (only £522)
  18. Found this while looking on Autotrader today. Would suit you down to the ground.. http://www.brandwhore.co.uk/forums/pics/dju/stumobile.jpg
  19. I try not to play NYNY or any other "standard" songs at the end of the night, The Toy Dolls - Nellie the Elephant often works well for me! (depending on the crowd). But as to why they work? I dunno. Familiar songs, often associated with discos (how?).. Meh

What if you like the original topic, but it creeps in to it? Do you keep reading in the hope that it returns to the topic it previously was, or finish reading there and then? For example, in the big rig thread - I wouldn't have expected to read about the Singing Coatstand in there, but I did.. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/smile.gif
  21. It's a sad day http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sad.gif
