  1. The other pontins song was Chiwawa by Dare? Never heard it previously myself, but the kids all knew it.
  2. Did my neices party a couple of weeks ago. A couple of songs that I didn't have (but the kids brought them) where the little fish and another Pontins song. I had never heard of them but all the kids knew the moves. High School Musical. Scissor Sistors Justin The dancey ones: Reach Locomotion Cheeky Girls (Honest) If I remember any more I will let you know. When the parents turned up, I got all the kids sat down in lines and we all did oops up side your head and it was great....None of them knew it, but they all wanted me to play it again when it finished. Since tha
  3. ADS - I hear your saying. I must be thinking on the same wavelength as you..... (But I maybe wrong) For me....after a busy year with work and djing, for the first time in 4 years I am not working Sunday night. I have done it for the last 10 years and thought I would see in the new year at my house with my family and some good mates. I have always enjoyed working new years eve, (or I wouldn't have done it) but for some reason just fancies having the night off. So we have go some lager, food firework and some DVD games and I can wait... But now, I am going doing a 30th birth

It always feels strange tonight is a black tie dinner for 200, tomorrow afternoon xmas party for 100, tomorrow night same venue for 150. I am fine with these 3 gigs.....Then on Sunday 6-8, 40 kids aged 8-11 and I am worried.... Hopefully will go ok.
  6. Work most weekends of the year, never get nervous, always have a good relationship with the adults who are at the party. Playing the music they want to hear and dance to. Love doing the job of entertaining them and have been doing so for 10 years.....never advertise but always plenty of work..... Then up pops my nieces 11 year old birthday party.......Nightmare on elm street.. Don't get me wrong when the parents are there at a 40th, 50th, wedding anniversary, wedding any do really, I like the kids, but when it is a particular kids party when my sister literally bribes you (how cou

  10. I am from Chorley, a small market town where the lights start to flash once the weekend arrives........Or is that just wishful thinking.... One of the reason's I started to DJ was to try and put some life into Chorley and trying to let people have a good time..... Which in the main, when I was resident at a place in Chorley, it was a bloody good night out with live artists and myself as compere and DJ.
  11. I went a few times when at the Park Hall, Chorley..... Ah the bright silky shirts and the walk home via the service station for a 24 hour breakfast...... Play the theme in guess the tv show.....
  12. Chorley is also nice this time of year..... I would imagine I can arrnage a room and bar at no cost....
  13. Tonight is a 40th at local club..... Tomorrow annual Rotary dinner which I have done for the last 3 years, always been an excellent night playing a very wide range of music that they enjoy. Should be a good one.......... Enjoy. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/boff.gif

  16. Cheers guys. Doing the family thing tonight, my daughter who is 4, wants to take me ten pin bowling tonight, because I took her for her birthday a couple of weeks ago. So I am off there shortly..... As for my daughter, and the reasons why I love being a dad, this morning she said "When I am singing happy birthday, should she sing Daddy or Neil because I am confused..." I just thought what does go though childrens minds..... Anyway, off for a birthday drink tomorrow watching England, so if you fancy a night around the bright flashing lights of Chorley, Lancashire please let me kn

  18. These are the reasons why I always do these charity gigs to help raise as much money as possible to fight this disease. I should have been going to Cyprus next week with some very good friends of mine who were getting married. 6 weeks ago, their 5 year old son went to the doctors and was found to have some kind of cancer which he is now having 30 weeks of treatment for. I have just also seen on Sky Sports that Paul Hunter the snooker player, has dier of cancer at the age of 27. This is why I work my bollox off and enjoy life as much as possible because you just never know....yo
