How Unproffesional And Rude Are Some Dj's !
Dj_Kray replied to jakemuk's topic in D.J and Karaoke Chat
Thats just wrong, and the client is stupid to think size matters tongue out icon -
Ha ha yes done this plenty of times, in the club i work i get loads of birthday shouts so i just add the fake song request to there name.

I do understand why if you do a gig at the same place a lot you would do it at or near the normal gig price but i normally do a fair few different places over xmas and would rather be with my wife and friends nye so thats why im working for 700 quid.

Well done on how you handled the situation. I always when faced with this type of thing just say i will happily play what they want as they are paying me. but i would not be able to Guarantee the guest will dance. this normally make the list less rigid and normally let me take a bit more control over the music. but again well done. you delt with it well!

You are right in thinking that good headphones will help with beat mixing, that and lots of practice i remember at first thinking i would never get it, but now its as easy as walking in fact easyer as i can still mix drunk http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/pepsi.gif the headphones marky marc mention are great i find them a little too light weght for me i have been using the pionner hd1000s but are also quite expensive but they are the tool of my trade and only the best will do .

QUOTE (C.S @ Feb 16 2006, 12:43 PM) Come on guys lets leave play school level and be adults again. This thread went childish to the extreme. I agree its turning in to the new vinyl over cd debate which i still get at the end of the day it personal preferance and the original question was 800s over 1000s
