  1. HI, I need a copy of Andy Stewart and Donald Where's Your Troosers to use tomorrow night. I have a vynil copy but cannot use that so does anyone know where I can download it? Thanks, Aaron
  2. Are you having a laugh? It has been over £1 a litre here for the past 12 months!! :damn: Shouldn't that be a microchip? (little computer joke there)
  3. Is this the most ridiculous poll ever started on this forum? Oh, that's a poll in itself....... :snow: :bouncy:
  4. (looks for a Scrooge emoticon.......) :bouncy:
  5. Thanks for putting my mind to rest - much appreciated!
  6. Okay, Warrior DA1000 amp. Tested a week ago but only one channel at a time and both seemed okay. However, I set the gear up today (Citronic mixer, Ohm RW-3 and RWS speakers, Warrior DA1000 amp) and one channel is definately louder than the other. I turned both gain controls on the amp to zero and there was still output from one of the channels! I turned the amp around and the sound disappeared, so I presumed a loose connection somewhere. However, process of elimination (swapping cables round, inputs round etc) says it is the amp and the channel that is quieter is definately not as 'full' a sou
  7. Depends on how much you pride yourself on your work I guess, or how much the fee is. Precisely!!
  8. "asked them if they would offer their services free of charge in exchange for a years free advertising in the magazine. " Sounds like a good idea to me....
  9. Well said. Perhaps we are all missing the point. The size of your setup can be any size you like - what is important is the size of the smiles on the audiences faces during the evening and when they go home.... Aaron
  10. Is this a requested playlist or one you are setting for yourself? If the latter, how can you be so sure that you can limit yourself to those tracks and that the people will want those specific tracks? Someone I know used to do weddings etc with a playlist and therefore only take a few handfuls of tracks with him to save carrying loads of tracks. I personally have hundreds of tracks available to me at every gig and no, I DON'T use a laptop, I carry cds and vinyl. Playlists for djs have two places - radio and nightclubs. Mobile jocks should be able to work with the crowd and use t
  11. Having asked loads of daft questions on this forum over the past year, I would like to take this opportunty to thank everyone who has helped with me various amp/speaker questions and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :ab :dan: :thanks: Aaron
  12. "when they say kentucky they really mean kfc, thought i would share it with you in case you didnt know." I'd be surprised if you found anyone who DIDN'T know!!
  13. Thoroughly agree!! Mind you, in my day RnB stood for Rythm and Blues - a term which would not apply to an y of the 'bling-bling' artists that seem to be under the mistaken idea that they quality in that genre. Why is it crap? If people like it, and they want to dance to it, then to describe it as crap is innacurate. It might not be your personal taste, but then everyone likes something different and as dj's, we are there to play what people ant to hear, not what we want to hear. If you just want to play your favourites, stay at home with a personal cd player 'cos you
  14. HI, another daft question coming up (don't you just love it?) Are all speaker top hats the same size? Therefore, are all poles the same gauge? Aaron
