all the dj's in my area charge arpond £150 At leat going up to £300 but they alll have different equipment. some a lot less than others. on group playying at a local football club function charge £150 for 2 4 bulb light boxes (from argos) and a sound system that was never loud enough my headphones were louder on me mp3 player witch coincidently i had on all night sa i dont know what he was playing (nor did any one else by the looks of it as most left with a couple of hours left) http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/ranting.gif

I've just sat for 3 hours with me amp on 0.5 and my lighting laying idle playing sad songs, lve legends, power balads and such like. 8.30 backround music 9.30 I tryed to persude the bill payer to let me put the lights on. his responce was no what your playing is perfect 9.45 the owner of the pub says turn it up 10.00 Still i'm told by the bill payer thats perfect carry on 10.15 the owner is getting extremely ratty 10.30 i tell the bill payer he's an hour left till i'm off 10.45 still sat there nothing to do 11.00 my index finger is killing me as i am constantly prodding me roadie t

Did a similar disco im 16 yo. I find that it's more daunting for a similar age group. If the disco is for a group off teens that are all the same sex it is much easyer. other wise the boys are trying to look cool for the girls and vis versa. dont be shocked if the hall clears as they'll return about 15 - 20 mins later P****d and wont remember you the next day!! Dont be afraid of classics Rockin' all over the orld is gerat for all ages (stats quo) i finished with come on eillien the other day and got an ovation! Just tie down all your C.D s though!! I have no choise but to "take me dad as i cant drive yet!
