  1. Well ive spent a fortune this year on my yellow pages and yell.com add and guess what its been the biggest waste of money ever. All ive managed to confirm is a corporate function for december so far. Yes ive had a few people ring from seeing the add (two column in full colour) but guess what do they want to pay a decent fee not on your life. So next year its a very minimal or none at all for yellow pages and ime not going to bother with yell.com. I think the good old yellow pages has seen its end. Curiosly i was looking at the yellow pages in america on holiday last week and theres hardly a di

  3. you will need more than one or two par cans to cover your floor effectivelly. Have a look at thomann they now have 1 watt par cans available for £116. They are a lot brighter than the 10mm ones alan

  9. I have got 2 of the eurolite par 64 led cans and theyre ok but you would need more than 2 of them to colour a dancefloor ime thinking of selling mine and looking at some led pars with at least 1 watt led's in, theres a few different ones on thomann at the moment. With led's you get what you pay for, the more they cost the brighter they are. alan
  10. I also use the thomann winch stands to raise either 3mtr or 4.5 mtr of tri truss found them extremelly good value for money and very stable. Alan
  11. I have for sale a cloud DM1200 mixer in very good condition New they would have retailed at over £500 A Bargain at £80 + carriage
  12. Don't forget to factor in the cost of replacement lamps these usually are over the £200 mark alan
  13. Iv'e got the behringer bass bins too they are very punchy for the cost. If you've put casters on them hope you put them on the back so that they can be taken out of play when your using them. Bass relies on the surface its sitting on to be radiated, ie it has to be felt not heard. The best positioning for the bins if your on a stage is off stage and if your usuing two place them together in the middle. alan
  14. Thomann sell serge wool cloth in all sorts of colours at a reasonable price Alan
  15. Have a look at the i solution ones theyre quite nice alan
  16. Dont asume that just because theyre 18 they only like the current music. They are usually into a much varied mixture ie 70's 80's beatles and party stuff, I do a lot of 18ths and get asked for loads of different stuff as well as the current music. Old school is also very popular with them. alan
  17. you will need a dmx controller for either of the options alan

  20. Kelly Rowland - Work freemasons mix gonna be a big tune alan
  21. Well 2 x 50 watt for a 30 mtr length hall unfortunatelly you got no chance. You would be better to take a trip to your nearest disco shop and hire something suitable or perhaps leave it to the professionals. To listen to the next track needs more than just the sound card you need a mixer as well. alan
  22. Well ive quoted for 5 different functions this week and lost every one purelly on price they wernt even interested at what kind of show they were getting just how much. I hope who ever they got for one of the bookings has fun because its a venue with a very sensative decibel meter in it and its a 13th birthday party fun to be had by them that night. alan
