  1. Yes I did read all the posts on that thread but decided that YOU were the unlucky one!!!! :scared: I can't believe you can buy them for £750 and sell them a year later for £650!!! Like I said, the demo pair were fantastic. The replacements get an airing this weekend - STAND BY FOR ...................good news hopefully
  2. Fogg. Been a long time. Good bass line to
  3. Well. Most of you here would have read my saga with the NEW BOXED Mackie SRM 450 active speakers. First night out one cut out after around 2 hours - small pub - heatsink hardly warm - 50 odd people - no stress on the cabs right?. A week later. Changed the one that cut out for the shops' demo speaker. Saturday afternoon. Connecting up for the surprise 60th and guess what. The other Mackie ( the new boxed one) would not power up. Nothing (IEC all ok). Luckily shop still open 2exhange for the other demo SRM 450 Why when i click the space bar do i delete? So, I end up with 2
  4. I have got both. The miricled is wide and shallow and the impossibled is sort of, a large circle for want of a better phrase. I would go with the miricled. The impossibled needs to be mounted high up to get the best "on floor" show or as others have said here, on the floor pointing at the ceiling. Both are quite bright (all leds lit) and give a good effect. I am getting another miricled for a small pub i do.
  5. Yes all the lights on the back were lit EXCEPT the thermal light. Speaker not hot or smelling of burning etc. blue light on the front was OFF!!! When i powered it up the next day it was dead. no lights on nothing. fuses all ok in iec lead to. Waiting for a new one to arrive at Soundcontrol by Thursday!!!! sticky label had november 2007 on it
  6. After all the hype one of my 4 hour old Mackie SRM 450's has died after just two and a half hours playing in a moderate room temperature with Bass & low pass de-acitivated. Heat sink hardly warm to. All LEDs lit up then nothing. Yes fuses ok, inputs etc. Might as well of bought some Skytecs. Well fed up. Back they go for Db Technologies Opera i fear. Makes you think what I could have bought on the well known auction site without a warranty. I am so angry!!! My dimensions (3 & 4) have NEVER let me down. Back to passives?????????
  7. Yes i've seen the pictures on their site. £1600 a pair? due mid March 4 kgs lighter with new redesigned bass driver, amp and power supply. I think I'll go for the DB Opera 402 with 2 sub 12
  8. Yeah, I play music between the singers - usually keeping it in line with the party style atmostphere (sp) I also do a lot of mic work and introduce the singers like they were famous celebs etc. I have a good laugh and so do the punters! tongue out icon
  9. Yes. Too few LED elements to be effective

    What Amp?

    Numark Dimension 4 £230 approx
  11. I got the controller and a dmx cable free with the pair i bought (it doesn't do much anyway). I use a dmx controller with them (Stairville) I have found that if i focus them on the same spot, they aren't too bad. BUT remember they have a total of about 49 leds in each littled AND they are not on all the time. I won't be seeing the impossiled tomorrow at BPM Show 'cause Prolight won't be there now! Still I will be playing with the idj2.

    Fader Start?

Asssign the decks correctly from the mixer and MAKE SURE you are using 3.5 mm "stereo" (three conductor) jacks. The ones that usually come with the CDN-22 are right angled to.
  13. I received 2 littleds on wednesday. They will be good for where the karaoke singer stands and thats about it. To be fair they don't have the LED capacity to be "interesting". Good light output for what they are but I am going to have a look at the "impossiled" when I get to the BPM show next sunday.
  14. As it says really. has anyone got one yet?

"End of the road" - boyz to men
  16. Ditto the above. The bass output is fantastic. I work with bands and they often ask where have i put the sub!! I got mine for £249 from Soundcontrol. get the covers to protect them too!! I use mine with a Numark Dimension 4. I put 350 RMS clean single in and NEVER let the amp clip
  17. Like you Jeff, I would of packed my gear away and then had a quite word with the landlord......just me and him like.......
  18. "Have I told you lately" by LDV Van Morrison
  19. The D2 I bought is a player in its own right, but most importantly its back up for the laptop Jeff. You cannot be serious..A back up for the laptop???. I have found a free LEGAL download to convert an external NTSF drive to a FAT32 (to rewrite the crate to) drive.

So what. THEY ARE PAID TO PAY.........SO PLAY IT. 18th birthday party.....Wokeup this mornin' ....dah did a la da.... Not too bad as it goes but disc 2 tracks 4,10,13 not sure about BUT...track 19.....with video.....here we go.............whadda beat.. P.S. You cut & pasted favourable wrong
  21. Awesome. Absolutely awesome. Wish I'd have bought sooner. Put it in it's flight case, built the library & played with it for around 2 hours then took it to the gig tonight. After a further play with it I was off and running (couldn't start the karaoke till the footy finished). I prefer it to the laptop - it looks more "pro" and is easier than carrying all the bits the laptop needs (USB headphones / USB souncard / DAC controller etc. No problems at all. All my tracks played like CD's. Scratch and pitch is fun too!!. Off to get another hard drive tomorrow for second back
  22. On top of all this, let's not forget the size of the busy LCD display. Better get to Specsavers for some +3.5 bins........
  23. Failing that, a small amount of microphone gibberish whilst gradual crossfadeing..........
