  1. Hey Nik. Just put me in your ignore list and repeat my THIRD post. Can't be that bad. Can it????
  2. There is every point. Get back on here again!!! This forum is for us ALL to learn and teach each other, have a laugh, discuss etc. I'm here every day and would miss it and everyone if it were to cease.
  3. I have had an even luckier escape. They have just had 2 pallet loads of C300 passive....... £249 pair and I can use my discount voucher tomorrow to get a further 10 per cent off. I can keep my Dimension 3 to run them AND have enough cash for proper subs - unlike the Peavey Pro subs which I have just found out, that one of the BRAND NEW drivers - not even powered up yet - has a mechanical rattle near the voice coil. These were NEW from an authorised Peavey dealer. (I am peaved) TODAY MARKS THE END OF BUDGET SPEAKERS FOR ME (even if they are "branded") Right. Now for a ni

    I Swear-boyzone

.......by the moon and the stars above.......
  5. I would quite happily buy from you again Ed AND drive down to Plymouth, but am mistified at why you want to drop to 200 watts & 10" drivers (SRM 350). This may be an omen. Soundcontrol at Milton Keynes could not be arsed to sell the last pair to me today. A scuffed ex demo pair that even had (somehow) two different colour case mouldings. I even disturbed the Manager from his lunch break. Still better service than the Leicester branch. They could not even be bothered to ring back - even after taking all my details Eddie Moors it is then
  6. Ok. Thursday is D Day for me with these speakers. SRM 450 Active £799 pair to be used with a Numark CD MIX3 and [/i] Peavey Pro Subs (run off a Numark dimention 3) (plenty of amp headroom @ 4 Ohms too!!!) Tell me, are they really that good?? Regular large hall with 120- 175 people, 18" stage height, lowish suspended roof approx 30 foot by 90 foot. Have been using Soundlab ABS 15" full range cabs for a while and want more detailed accurate sound with built in amp for the quizzes every now and again.
  7. I use a cutter from Staples (sorry I can't remember the technical name for a guillatine) (or the spelling of it tongue out icon )
  8. They look well smart. The cheque book in the background of picture 2 gives a hint of the cost!!
  9. I voted No. 2 You would not lose No. 2 on the fridge, work noticeboard etc. It stands out the best. No. 4 would be good for a rave hand out with its colour scheme.
  10. I use a 10 metre coloured ropelight for Karaoke that twists round the stage. I turn it on when a singer is on the stage and off when they're not!
  11. It won't be that bad. Don't do what I did the first time I did it - putting 2 discs in the Karaoke draw then borrowing the lemon slicing knife from the landlady to get the draw open again !!! :scared: Thats a new pair if pants!! :hurt: It will be fine. "Relax" and enjoy the day
  12. Come on guys £500 - £1200 gets you a disco AND a DJ
  13. Don't forget that these bulbs are warranted for 8 years lads. Keep your receipts
  14. Friday :dan: Saturday Wedding Sunday :dan:
  15. Come on Steve. That was 2 (two) years ago now. Loadsa blue bits in the middle though
  16. Here we go then: LCD: cheaper up to around 32" * Biggest problem is still DEAD pixels & Motion blur. PLASMA: efficent from 32" power wise. No dead pixels. Re-gas time in years ???? What ever picture format you choose, never buy one that has been stored or delivered to you on a sack barrow horizontally (IT STILL HAPPENS). ALWAYS KEEP UPRIGHT (or you risk cracking the circuit board !!!!!!! :dan+ju:
  17. Like it has been said, it is Imperative that you know who the GoH is and you are told by a fellow party goer when she is about to arrive. "This is your life" theme tune is good for the opener to.
  18. ........ guests are kept smiling Bin that. How about: unusual, different, creative, unique, specialised, popular, never to be repeated occasion etc...... Apart from that LITTLE bit it gives a fresh, no nonsense idea about what you can offer. So much better than the usual "Why choose us?????....... because we can not believe you might choose someone else with better insurance / back copies of PAT Certicates and one hundred thousand track listings.COM" bull on the first page.
  19. So how did the gig go just before I give Soundcontrol £799?? tongue out icon
  20. That is too funny for me!!!!! :dan:
  21. Depends really if there was a good chance of a re-booking then possibly. A one off for Aunt Ednas' 70th, then no. Like Marky says if they want to pay less then I am not what they require
