What a terribly depressing thread ! Why not ask at the end of 2009. Not being rude but how about creating a bit of optimism, enthusiasm and positive outlook ? If i remember rightly there are 2 or 3 threads posted in this section and they all concern negative financial crisis themes.

We change over to studded tyres in october and then back to summer tyres in april. Salting also causes rust ( and i mean the quickest rusting you have ever seen) to your car so if they are salting in an area where you drive make sure you hose off the underside of your car when the weather clears up. Only lorries use chains here and thats only on steep mountain passes. I drove a 4 wheel drive on all weather tyres for 2 winters without any problems but then again part of our driving test involves learning to drive in arctic conditions.

Thats a new one on me , first time in 30 years that i have come across a mobile dj with that kind of roadie set up . Not being rude but are you famous ?

From even further North ! Didnt realise they changed to winter tyres in the north of the uk . If your car is freezing up on the windscreen inside then it must be pretty damp on the inside. Never had that happen here. A tip from me would be always make sure you have extra warm clothing in your car,just in case!

Good point ! Err dont you live where you do -by choice? I am only here to service the female population of Norway which i find to be a good enough reason oh and one last thing! Today it has been +8c with sunshine and there is approx o inches of snow on the lawn ,why ? somebody dropped it on you lot or maybe it is global warming !Make a snowman for me !

Err whats the fuss ? Some people live beyond the arctic circle and get an average of 5 foot of snow every winter . Winter being 5 months long with 4 weeks of total darkness and temperatures down to minus 30 c. Never missed a days work due to weather either.

Just a club gig on friday, managed to avoid a eurovision song contest (norway) party. Did it last year and it was an absolute nightmare with a crowd of handbag wielding men all mincing around asking for eurovision winning songs from the 90s that i didnt have.

no extra heaters are needed here but i expect further up the country they might do. Its a dry cold here so not like the get into you bones cold you have in the uk. I dont really have to use extra clothes either unless going skiing or working outside, then we get the thermo undies on. What i find scarey is that there is no snow on my lawn at the moment and there should be at least 4 feet. Global warming ?

Never heard of that here and i can assure even at temps of -25c and a further -20c of chill factor we still dont freeze over as long as the heaters working.

Fri and sat have been 2 absolutely blasting club gigs with lots of lightly clothed scandinavian ladies and loads of good music as well of a fair amount of rubbish too ! Finished off last night with a mix of proffessional widow, Insomnia, Smack my bitch ,Sandstorm, Delirium and Cafe le mar and just turned everything off(lights and sound) on the last beat of energy 52! nearly didnt get out alive !

Absolutely love em along with prodigy and faithless ! new album due for release in april here at the arctic circle and summer concert in Bergen , Norway sold out 2 minutes after tickts went on sale. Up until last year i used to do regular depeche mode nights at a funpub 2 to 3 times a year. Great band !
