nothing wrong with Abba but I wont play it unless its being requested either.... too many good choons out there to choose from without having to resort to the usual safe songs...... most dj's including me carry thousands of songs with them but resort to the same choons week after week..... take a chance (no abba pun intended!) and play something different! sorry..... rant over!

there are plenty of decent boozers in Watford.... we might be the oldest ones in them though!!!!

spinner this is a quality album.... some great tunes on it...My fav's are oh by Janita.... lovely salsa style soul choon and sing for free by trace..... quality stepping choon..... oh and a very good choon by black box (yes as in ride on time)..... fall into my love - went down a storm at caister

soul togetherness 2006 - some quality choons on there.... don't get a chance to play many of them at the functions i do though..... most played - dj in a box - cheese fest from mastermix - gets on my nerves but there is something for everyone on there... apart from me!

PY played this tune on his funky saturday session on smooth fm.... It sounds a lot like John Legend but not sure if it is ..... the words go along the lines of "we're gonna have a good time, we're gonna have a party"... it was an uptempo tune..... any ideas?

Steve Marshall You are showing your age now!! They started up the Caister radio again in May when I was there and it is going to be a regular thing again. You sure do know your stuff, i am pretty much a youngster (31) when it comes to the soul scene but I have been working overtime trying to revive some of the old tunes, also in the process of trying to put on some soul/funk nights so any recommendations (like the ones already mentioned) that would fill the floor or bring the memories back for the punters would be greatly received.
