  1. Thanks Chevron Yes it was. Cheers Mate Pete
  2. I am pleased that this is up for discussion as, I played Glitter rock in a committee run club back in July and I got slaughtered for it no one said anything on the day but the committee phone me later durring the week to say they had recieved complaints that I had played Garry Glitter tunes which meant that I condoned his actions, which of course I don't this upset me a bit, so I took his music out of my lists, shame as there are some great tunes there that keep people on the floor. I did get booked for another gig there so of course I did not and have used his tunes since. Pete
  3. To be honest there was quite a few direrent types and styles in the 80's I will list what I would make sure I have with me if this helps but this not to say some one else would disagree well thats music and why there are so many different types of fans so here goes. Abba made so many hits and styles Pink floyd The Wall ( in my book one of the best floor fillers of its time) Jackson and Thriller there are others but I think you will be asked for this Whitney Houston quite a few to choose from Tiffany the same Sinead O'Connor Gun's an Roses Bruce Springstien Prince the Batman theme

  5. Hi Jeff Well we all have to learn, but dont let your self come down to their level thats the reaction there looking for. I know it's hard at times but just smile and so long as the person that as booked you thats the most important part as enjoyed it, as they have paid for the evening and they are the ones who are going to advertise you again,be it only word of mouth that goes a long way. As the others more than likly wouldn't know who you where the following morning. Pete
  6. Nothing a bit quite round here at present
  7. Petrol is a very bad area l have seen this cause so many problems. if it's a case of inland revenue you have to be careful that you are covering the millage as you can only claim so many miles at one charge then I think after 10,000 mile it gets less. means extra bookwork. with regards to V.A.T now you do have to be careful unless you are talking 1000s of pounds a year do not claim the v.a.t. Dont forget the clothing you wear for the gig and the clothing you wear to get there. Tools are another area but remember you need invoices as prof of perchase, along with the rigs and all equipmment.

    Let's Party?

I agree with Andy you will fill dance floors with the full versions if you got the right age group around if not that is when I would play it as the no offence the younge age group like the shorter versions like these megga mixs. I prefer to play the full versions but that me and thats the great thing about music everyone hears it differently. so long as they enjoy it thats all you ask Pete
