  1. I will let you off lee. I think my recomendation has slightly blown the budget by £14000 before buying the screens! If going for a plasma maybe look into getting a unicol parabella stand, much more attractive than the K stands. Also you will need to take into account, all the additional space required to transport the screens and stands. They are not the smallest items once properly cased. DAN
  2. This is actually incorrect, it all depends on the lens that is in the projector or alternatively the lens you purchase for the projector. With say a 0.8 lens you can project on an 8'x6' screen from 6.4' away and fill it. problem with a 0.8 lens is that its fixed. This means it has no zoom and lens shifting will cause the corners to cut in so you have to have the projector at the same level as the screen centre. I would highly recomend Sanyo XP57 or XP100 projectors, i work regularly with these machines and they have never let me down. DAN
  3. It didnt stay as synergy long as I dont think it was attracting enough people and always seemed very empty (capacity of 1500+) after the first few weeks of opening. It is now trading as Halo. I am lead to believe the main space has now been divided up into seperate rooms. DAN
  4. 2 cabs @ 8ohm each wired in parallel on each channel will give you 4ohms.

  9. Copenhagen isn't too bad. £15 one friday night for all you can drink in one club, they had a live act on but i don't remember much of that!! However the next night i went to club Renomé to see Armand van Helden and that was £7 a beer!

  11. On the back of Stockport County FC amazing run of 9 victories without conceding a goal local pop star and former UK Eurovision representative DAZ SAMPSON wrote a song for the club. This song has now been released and is available to download now. Details of how can be found at http://www.thecountysong.co.uk/ All money raised will go toward the SCFC Supporters Trust. Help a worthy cause and get a small football team into the Top 40 and download the song!
  12. i know this post has been dead for a week or two now but thought i'd sneak my contributuion in here. I will only eat if i'm offered food, not many events are catered that i do as they are mainly 18ths and club events. I will always consider accepting a drink, but only one! I was once setting up in a venue ages before a gig on a warm summers day. I had a bottle of water which the owner wasn't happy with but said I was ok as the bar was closed. However when i went back to perform the owner asked me not to drink my water as i wasnt allowed to. So i had to go to the bar to get tap wate
  13. What is the best way to get work in night clubs?? I have been mobile since Feb working for a sound and light company, but would like to move into the club scene due to the work being more regular and the crowd being the sort of crowd i enjoy playing to. I was offered a Thursday night as the headline act at a club in a nearby town after performing there for an 18th birthday. However the traveling and timings did not suit me, I would be home at 4am so i would have 2 hours sleep before getting up for the day job. Also the club wasn't the nicest or safest (everything was wired through on
  14. for t-shirt printing go to http://www.upshirtcreek.co.uk/ I have always worn black shirt and white tie, smart black trousers and smart clean shoes. Gives a great first impression, makes you look like a professional. And the company I work for liked what I wore so much they've kitted me out in shirts, t-shirts etc all with there logo on. DAN
