  1. Errrr no! http://planetsmilies.net/person-smiley-9806.gif Having said that, in the pool they have aqua aerobic classes for the ladie sand that is called the washing machine class. Because when they splashing and thrashing about it resembles a washing machine going at full tilt! http://planetsmilies.net/not-tagged-smiley-10841.gif

  3. Well I have to say, yes I am fit. I have just come back from the gym where I did a 75 minute workout that included 45 minutes in a spinning class. I wear a heart rate monitor and I peaked at 95% of maximum working heart rate (worked out by ... 210 minus your age) and averaged 80% throughout the workout. I read at my age, 58, I should be able to run a male and a half in 14 minutes, I can do it in about 10.15. So, in answer, yeah I'm pretty fit. However, having said all that, could I do a day on a building site? ... probably not, apart from the fact I would never want to!
  4. Go for it, you won't be disappointed. Yes, there is a lot of prep work needed but once it's done it's done. It is just so stable too. I've got Virtual but I couldn't use it live as I have no confidence in it. I've tried playing videos with it on 4 different computers and every time it froze and then crashed. I can only speak through personal experience.
  5. Scissor Sisters - I don't feel like dancing
  6. My fortnightly quiz for tonight has been put back till next Wednesday, not a major issue. Hopefully tomorrow night's one will be on but I have my doubts, it's in the New Forest! http://planetsmilies.net/xmas-smiley-4621.gif
  7. I have L1's model II with a T1 and 2 B1's that I use for discos with great success, fabulous sound they really rock. I get many compliments on my sound quality. I also have the L1 compact system. This I use for quizzes, house gigs and small barbie type jollys. It is brilliant, I can set it up in less than 2 minutes, you can plug an ipod into it and have sound as quick as you like!! I have it as back up for discos but it doesn't have enough base for a full on gig. Check this chap out, have a look at his videos, for me they are very impressive. Cap Capello If you ar
  8. We moved from a flat to a house in September, so we suggested to family et al to give us something for the house. The trouble is they did! I got half shares in a large mirror and a black vase!!! http://planetsmilies.net/sad-smiley-384.gif
  9. I'd go for some Glenn Miller, a MUST for me. Not just their age group but younger people like to jive to him too. http://planetsmilies.net/xmas-smiley-7700.gif
  10. These people have got a great range and the prices are good too. I've got loads of kit from them, including my Sennheiser radio mic but it was a tad more than £150 Just enter ... radio mic in the search box, top right of page. Radio microphones
  11. Have a trawl through this and have a listen. I'm not gay but I just love the stuff they play .... Gaydar
  12. The managers of the pub where I do my regular quiz have moved up t'north, well Southampton actually! They've got a pub in West End, Southampton and wanted me to do their quiz for them on Sunday nights. Unfortunately it's about an hour and half away so a tad too far. Details are few apart from the fee will be about £80-£90 and every Sunday. If you would like a chat please pm me. Cheers Simon.
  13. Have a look at this ... Jukebox They've got some fabulous stuff http://planetsmilies.net/music-smiley-1306.gif
  14. Trying not to veer too far off track, one my favourites, which is guaranteed NOT to get me to play a request is "Can you play ............ because me and my mate have got to go!" I've also in the past, when somebody has asked for some R & B, played say Chuck Berry. They come back later and ask why I haven't played any, I tell them I've just Played the main man of R & B Chuck Berry, oh the befuddled look on their face! http://planetsmilies.net/not-tagged-smiley-10097.gif
  15. I had a set, sold now. I used just the white lights, thought they were really good, something different to 'colours'.
  16. Guessing, as in a previous life I used to sell double glazing, the 'rough' side should be on the inside, smooth on the outer to make it easy to wipe clean.
  17. I would suggest one of these, far from the cheapest but one of the best centre lights around. EFX 500
  18. I've posted this link very recently, I can't remember who wanted it but this the best by a country mile, stunning. It costs approx £200 but well worth it. R4 Rabid Hampster
  19. I've not searched for your tracks but I've got some up to date D & B from here ... Dj download or here Drum & Bass Arena
  20. Here's the fella, not cheap but is absolutely stunning. When I got it I watched for hours like tv. R4
  21. I play it continually from about an hour before the quiz to the end. However I don't play background music when I do the music round!!! :joe: when I play card bingo and during the marking of the quiz. I get teams to swap answer sheets and they mark each others at the end. I normally play oldies, 70's, cheesy, party stuff, what I would call 'happy tunes'.
  22. I'm busy! There's a disco in the Rising Sun, Cricketers and the Pudding and Pye (ME!) every Friday, so quite good. Plus then I do the Green Man once a month, gigs at the football club and the rugby club, so yeah can't complain thanks. I live on Hardy Crescent, right next to Flights and a very good friend of ours, carol Angel is a fairly high up PA there.
  23. Add to that the cost of Sky Sports, my local in Wimborne which could if 'rammed to the rafters' may hold 200 were paying £1100 a month http://planetsmilies.net/shocked-smiley-9457.gif
  24. This is good place and the radio is great too! http://www.gaydarradiojukebox.com/
