I have some old 128 tracks that I got from Napster and now I can't remember which ones they were. If I can't tell then the drunken public certainly can't. Even less so with the iPod generation bought up on MP3s. Seriously, I bet some don't even know what a WAV is.

Apple have invested mega bucks in a massive data centre. It's thought that a cloud based iTunes is going to one use for it. Would be good to pay a monthly sub and have unrestricted access. Unless the net goes down midway through a set :wall:

Tagging WAV files is tricky. Using ID3 tags that MP3s use breaks the WAV container. There may be other ways but don't count on the Denon hardware/software supporting it.

You should be able to format the drive long before you select the keyboard and language settings. Boot from CD and after it has loaded all the things it needs to install the OS you should be here. You need to delete the current partition. Create a new partition then format it to NTFS. Then you can load the OS on to it. If you only want 1 sub and tend to do smaller gigs then you might want to consider a HK Audio Lucas system.

I asked this in a shop back in March, exact same question about the exact same lights. I wanted to control the lot with a CA-8 but he said it wasn't possible as the 2 lights had different amounts of things you can control. For example, lights, gobos etc. How true this is I don't know. Maybe you should email Prolight and ask them.

I used to have the X500, HD2500 and Acme DMX plus a 2U QSC Amp in a 10U 3U from DJKITKASE. Even though there was supposed to be a spare U of space it was pretty tight between the Amp and HD2500. A 3U amp wouldn't fit.

Ohms is a measurement of electrical resistance. The lower the ohms the less the resistance so a 4 ohm speaker will draw more power from an amp than an 8 ohm speaker. If speakers say they're 8 ohms then they're 8 ohms, nothing else. It's the amp you need to look out for. That amp you posted runs at 400 watts a side but only with 4 ohm speakers connected. It probably only runs at 200 watts with 8 ohm speakers. You could connect two 8 ohm speakers on the same channel which will make the amp run at 4 ohm but still, each speaker will only get 200 watts each.

Enya is good. The Prodigy are good. But they should never go together. I'm going to guess you played that awful SMBU Orinoco Flow track. As a huge Prodigy fan that's sacrilege Glad it all went well. Wish I could get a few gigs like that, as an ex raver I have tons of hard music that I'd love to play over a big system.

£14 an hour is still a good wage mate. I earn £10 an hour as an engineer and hate every last stinking second of it. Plus I have to spend around 7 hours per week stuck in traffic to get there and back. Driving around the country with my best mate playing music isn't what I'd call work. As the saying goes ... "Find a job you like and you'll never work another day in your life".

Bingo. I travelled 140 mile last week but got paid a total of £255 so it wasn't too bad. Fuel cost about £40 so made about £215. 14 hour day but enjoyed it more than the 9 hours I spend every day in the factory (read prison) I work at.

I did a wedding last weekend and played nothing released in 2010. Had 2 requests all night, Fight For This Love and Footloose by Kenny Loggins. Everyone seemed happy enough, lots of positive comments. I've only bought about 10 tracks all year and wouldn't play any of them in my bedroom.

Same here. I had a cold meat salad followed by fruit salad The venue did their own catering. Dread to think what it all cost, wasn't your average cocktail sausage and crisps affair.

Well I tried it out. Went really well actually. Spent most of the night using iTunes. Set a few playlists up before I went and mixed from one playlist to the other by going from iTunes, into the HD2500 then back to the next playlist. If the mixer or amp failed I could've plugged into the Singer's Mixer/Amp. We pretty much have 2 of everything now. The crowd loved the music, got lots of positive comments, request for business cards and £60 in tips. £40 of the groom and £20 of the bride's father.

I have the RMX2450. 500WRMS a side and 750WRMS @ 4 Ohm. Use it to power Mackie S215s / S218s. Extremely happy with it. Would definitely recommend QSC.

Not when you flick the off switch on the base station conveniently hidden under your decks I would simply have taken the mic off them. It's your mic at the end of the day. It won't work. Trance is a very specific genre of music. I'm talking real Trance here, not the plastic crap that Basshunter knocks out. 95% of the people at a wedding will probably hate it. My girlfriend is 22 and she doesn't like it so it's nothing to do with age either. I love Trance so if you need some help putting a set together if you decide to go ahead with it I have quite a large collection. PS - Olds rarely leave early.
