  7. QUOTE (FrankieJ @ Jul 12 2006, 07:03 PM) Im really P:cense:ed off, some thieving scum bag nicked my fiancee's wing mirrors clean of her car which was sitting on our drive in the middle of the night last night http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/188.gif so after spending nearly £30 to replace them I have now just ordered a CCTV camera and will rig it up over the weekend. There's nothing I hate more than these lazy low lifes nicking other people's property just because they are to bone ideal to work for it themselves. Sorry Folks had to let off some steam...... http://www.dj-forum.c

  11. QUOTE (Rendezvous @ Jul 10 2006, 08:13 PM) Since starting out with OtsDJ on my laptop several years ago, I save all of my playlists and have them available for immediate recall. At the start of the night when I've got an idea of who is at the event, I'll pull up a previous playlist from a similar night and put all of the songs in the 'work' area. I sometimes use this as a base, but always alter the playlist radically during the night as people start to respond to the music and interactivity. One area that this really helps out with is the cocktail hours. ahhh the benefits of laptop/desk
  12. QUOTE (5star @ Jul 9 2006, 01:09 AM) QUOTE If you ask me the timing of a disco is always the trickiest part as everyone always wants your big songs (guaranteed floor filers) early on in the evening. I think there are enough floorfillers available to easily fill a 5 hour disco - true some are bigger than others but if you play a 'biggy' early on and it doesn't work then there's nothing to stop you playing it later as well (in fact I find that someone will probably come up and ask for it anyway). By the time I also add in some current chart music plus any other requests from the guests then
