  4. Is it the white or coloured version?
  5. Does anyone know of an LED moonflower that still has the rotating mirrors and gobos, the only difference is that instead of a halogen bulb it has an LED light source, as most LED moonflowers just seem to be a cluster of LEDs that flash. Thanks
  6. My lights are on an overhead goalpost. They are: http://www.surreysoundandlight.co.uk/ssl/lighting/acme/Dynarock.jpg http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/jsp/images/products/ADJ-REVOIII_F.JPG http://english.tyloon.cn/app2/pic/content/top/7c/e3/28/887-300x300.jpg http://www.soundsavers.com/catalog/images/ledj64_s.jpg http://www.surreysoundandlight.co.uk/ssl/lighting/acme/Dynarock.jpg I've now replaced the Revo III with the Nucleus. http://brokenpilgrim.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/question-mark1.jpg http://shop.sound7.be/WebRoot/StoreLFR/Shops/62056072/4AC3/27D8/F656/2E17/253B/
  7. Following on from Mitch's post on the best song, what are the contenders for worst song??? For me, there are occassions when a copy is just as good as the original, but for certain things there can be only one......... Tomato Soup - Heinz Talc - Johnsons You've Got The Love - Candi Staton .........so for me the worst song of 2009 has to Florence and the Machine's cover of You've Got The Love
  8. The title of the post is a bit vague, best song for me personally, best song to dance to, best song to get them up dancing or just the best song full stop? I think the best song for playing at a disco for 2009 has to be Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling as this appealed to all ages and all functions, from pubs to weddings to birthdays. From a personal point of view the best cover was Saturdays - I Just Can't Get Enough, best remix was Tinchy Stryder - No1 (Bimbo Jones Remix) and my bestest song for the year was Chipmunk - Oopsy Daisy
  9. I received the light on Friday and used it on Friday and Saturday nights. My initial thoughts are: Positives It's quite heavy compared to my other lights (Dynarock, Revo III) but when you think that's it's six scanners in one, it's not excessive. It is quite big and on Saturday I had to reassess where I was going to place it on my goalpost as I wanted to put it above the bar but the ceiling was too low, so I had to place it under the bar and it then intruded into 'my space'. I think I'm going to get a back-to-front hole drilled into the bar so that I have the option of placing
  10. Another source for starting a cd collection is Asda/Tesco (and I'm sure other reputable retailers) which sell the 100 Hits Dance Anthems/60s/70s/80s/90s/Love Songs/Rock/Jazz/Swing/Driving Songs/etc for around £8 each, which equates to 8p a song. http://thehut.pantherssl.com/productimg/1/100/cd/46/862546_CD_M_F.JPG http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41bV8YIYwGL._SL500_AA240_.jpg http://www.images.downland.sk/files/8gwofoqmkvhz9jbtxfdi.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_CXnLtBVW9Jk/SYwQ3a4gx6I/AAAAAAAACmg/sSfHHh43STU/s320/front.JPG
  11. The light on the remote normally indicates when the machine reaches temperature and is ready. If you're not getting any smoke at all, it could indicate that it's not heating properly, therefore not reaching temperature and therefore not activating the light on the remote.
  12. That is, unfortunately, the only downside of the ban, however not having your hair and clothes stinking of smoke, not having a yellowy gunk appearing on your air vents and filters and not having a sore throat are the definite positives.
  13. Given the symptoms you're describing, it would appear to be an issue with the remote. I had a similar problem that turned out to be a broken wire on the jack socket within the machine, which I resoldered and it's worked fine since. If you can, get another remote or if you have a meter, check for continuity between the jack plug and the remote's buttons to see if it's a cable isuue in the remote.
  14. But then how big is a screen on an I-pod? The Denon's screen is small but it has all the information you need. Why not try it and see how it feels for you.
  15. Here's the Denon HD2500 with two audio outputs (one for each side) to take directy to your mixer. No laptop required. http://www.pbsounds.co.uk/productimages/DN-HD2500.jpg
  16. Rather than go for the Acme 6 moving head centrepiece, why not look at the American DJ Nucleus, due for release in 12 days, 21 hours, 43 minutes and 22 seconds time, not that I'm counting
  17. Well, as a result of your post I am know £17.99 lighter as I've just ordered a hoody saying 'Don't mess with me, my Grandad's a DJ' Thanks
  18. Does anyone know if 7 will be better than Vista for DJing software and what is compatible right now with 7?
  19. What operating system do you have because I had problems with my Maya soundcard when I moved from XP to Vista, which Maya software didn't support.
  20. Was speaking to a retailer about availability and he said to hold off until next weekks show because there are a number of other suppliers bringing out similar products. Does anyone have details of these?
  21. Would a second-hand Denon X500 be any use. I've got one and the flexibility and features on it mean I've never been stuck. Denon X500
  22. I'm back in the same hotel as last year. They actually said they wanted me this after my first weekend last hristmas which was unusual, as most hotels tend not to book Christmas until Sep/Oct. Another nice touch was that they included me in their literature and some parties are looking to come back because they enjoyed the entertainment. So far though they've only confirmed three Fridays and a Saturday, but they're hoping for additional nights and some lunches as well, but it's certainly down on what they boooked last year.
  23. Welcome What were the sound to light leds that you installed in Linekers?

    Polish Now 72

I've been asked if I can do a singles night for Polish people and knowing absolutely nothing about Polish music I said yes (it was actually maybe, but they took that as a yes), so is there a Polish equivalent of the Now series and if not, what would you suggest would be good CDs to try and obtain?

    Name That Tune

I need to know what the music is that is played in the film Transformers when the old crappy yellow car is in the tunnel and it trnasforms into the shiny new yellow car. It's also used in X Factor, Britain's Got Talent.
