this is not strictly true my dvd rom rips quite happily with my dedicated software hosting software mtu hoster it has a dedicated built in ripper , my drive is not compatible according to other software but some how mtu hoster makes it work , it must have a work around for the sub data as audiograbber wont work no matter what settings but mtu hoster does work. a few DJ's i know with macs use boot camp and use mtu hoster it looks really basic and it is but its specifially designed for karaoke hosts. I used to a long time ago take text requests ..soon stopped that after all the hassle

I agree one mistake in 27 years is good going . Personally when I read posts like the original post here , I am not surprised about communication problems. Clarity in getting the point across and listening and more importantly understanding what all relevant parties are saying , I feel is one skill a DJ really needs to avoid problems and potential issues. I am going to target and be more active in a different type of gig than i am currently specialised in I generally am known as a pub karaoke host but after years of getting better at functions and weddings , i am now confident to start promoting myself in areas i have not before. I have more bookings than last year already for private functions . I slip people into the top of the current rotation not just straight on as that's not fair. when you add people on the software you have a list you can see normally about six or seven singers will be multiple song singers so if they hand in multiple requests i just throw them in the play list so you have singers 1 2 3 4 5 6 if a new singer comes along and asks for a request i would slot them in between singer 7 and 1 so top of the rotation call them singer A 7 A 1 2 some one else asks for a request call them singer B 3 4 5 6 7 B A 1 2 3 4 5

ok i am to blame for the slip lark .. i have software where i have a singer rotation ..i put in there name and it memorises it with the song and even the key they sing it in , i also add the venue..next time i see them i know what they sang last time etc dedicated karaoke software can really help shows run smoother. I also get "I need to sing now cos we're leaving in a bit!" my reply is well i am paid to keep you in the pub if your going soon theres no point in getting you up , i also point out there is a rotation and its unfair on others who are waiting there turn. what bu

I feel there is a market for a new led datamoon type fixture light weight with separate colour wheel separate gobo wheel.. but powered by a bright led and maybe even a light weight plastic case. dj's dont want dots but gobos , dj's want a reliable moonflower but we want long life and light weight , i want a slow moving white love heart program for first dance come on manufacturers make it !!!!
