  1. Ow do! I could do with some advice. I buy a fair bit of my music online (djdownload, traxsource etc) and at the moment I label my cdr's with a marker but this is a pain and looks very untidy so I wanna label them. I've not currently got a printer and was wondering * does anybody use the sticky label kits for cd's in their cdjs? how do you find em? do they take the wear an tare of being pulled in and out of you wallet/bag *can anybody recommend a printer that prints directly onto cdr's for £100.00 or less. Cheers!!! Lump
  2. I think thats where I went wrong I'm running vista pro with a few other progs on the laptop. I didn't play out with it anyways it was just messing about at home. I sold my herc mk2 on fleabay last week. The new herc looks good but if your uping the budget you may aswell IMO go for M-Audio Torq Xponent...that looks lovely  lump
  3. Ow do!!! I'm trying to get to play out ANYWHERE!! so I've done a demo mix cd but I was thinking about adding a sort of "digital water mark" to my cd. i.e. during the breakdown of the mix a little voice over "you are listening to house dj Lumpo" Is there any software I can get that can generate it? free or cheap, can be elecro-y. my set up at the mo is pair pioneer cdj's behringer mixer connected to acer 5052 laptop via behringer uca202 usb interface thingy and I'm using audacity to record my mix Any help mucho appreciatedo tongue out icon lumpo
  4. I used the herc Mk2 with VDJ and it was ok. If your hands are bigger than a 5 year olds you will knock the scratch pads. VDJ had a habit of freezing :hurt: no real reason why it just felt like a break sometimes. lump
  5. Big thanks lads  I've ordered it and the I'll grab a ground loop isolator. Then start pestering bars with my cd's Really really appreciate the help! Lump
  6. Cheers lads!!! What do you think to this? would it do the trick? http://www.dv247.com/invt/32730/ Cheers Lump
  7. Ow do! If this is no in the right bit would the mods be so kind as to move it I'm trying to record a mix so I can hand out some cd's but i'm getting nowhere very slowly :hurt: I'm using basic acer5052 laptop, pair of pioneer cdj's and a behringer dx626 basic mixer. I'm connecting the mixer using the booth output to the mic socket of my laptop. I'm using audicity to record and I think I've sussed the settings but the problems I'm having are 1. If the laptop is plugged in the rcording is awful I get loads of fuzz over it. Unplug it and it's fine. Problem is my batter
  8. If this is the wrong forum for this sorry mod's and will you please move :thanks: Ow do. Would anybody be willing to take a complete newbie on a gig with them?
