I always thought you should buy a higher rated speakers(RMS) than your amp ? just to avoid a big bang ! Might take the 2nd hand option on, just had a look on ebay and cant seem to find much. Phoned HTFR aswell, and they recommended the warphdale SVR15's but there abit out of my budget. its alot harder than it seems buying kit ! Not man DJ stores around where i live aswell ! just gonna take my time and get some 2nd hand ones i think. cheers for the help Brad

Afternoon all, hope were all doing great ! Thinking of kickstarting my career again as a DJ and just wanted some advice on sound equipment, lights are another but id rather get the sound as good as i can before i mess around with lights. Thinking about these speakers : http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR273190 With this amp: http://www.astounded.com/product_info.php?...roducts_id=3934 has anyone any views on the above ? Thanks guys Brad
  4. haha, would you think then its useless getting more powerful speakers touse the bridge mode ? cheers Brad
  5. Would it be loud enough for a venue for about 150 seating area with the cabs you linked, as i was looking at a second hand pair of these on ebay ! Cheers mate
  6. What speakers will be suitable for running this amp/mixer ? http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/PMP3000.aspx I do mostly smaller venues but occasionally get the odd bigger do. it says it can do 900w RMS in Bridged mode. So if i wanted to run this ? would i need 2 X 900W RMS Speakers @ 8Ohm ? Thanks and i know this is probably a stupid Question Brad
  7. Im thinking about getting either a Behringer PMP3000 or a KAM KMD20 powered mixer and some NJD Celestion 600w Birch ply speakers. But dont know if the powered mixers are any good? Also how do you change from 4ohm to 8ohm ? or is it automatic ? Because am i right in saying that the lower ohm the more Wattage you can achieve ? Thanks in advance Brad :cense:EDIT:cense: Gary (GDK) Topic moved to correct forum.
