    I'm a Roadie for a DJ
  1. Rage won the chart battle! Who would have believed that could happen at the start of the week!!
  2. For recent Indie try: Wombats - Lets Dance to Joy Division Scouting For Girls - She's So Lovely/Heartbeat/Elvis Ain't Dead Klaxons - Golden Skans Pigeon Detectives - I'm Not Sorry/Take Her Back Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger Kasabian - LSF/Fire Arctic Monkeys - Dancefloor/Brianstorm/When the Sun Goes Down

    The Killers

"Mr Brightside" is the obvious one that will appeal to the crowd! If I was playing any others it would be "Human" and "When You Were Young"
  4. Thanks very much for your help guys!
  5. Hi, The lamp holder in one of my NJD datamoons looks to have burnt out after many years of use. I've been looking on the internet to buy a new one but without success. Can anyone advise where I can buy an individual bi-pin lampholder - I assume it needs to be 250W Thanks in advance for your help :-)
  6. Outhere Brothers - Boom Boom Boom Lil Louis - French Kiss Salt N Pepa - Push It Latour - People Are Still Having Sex Kia - My Neck, My Back

    Jason Donovan

If there's lots of thirty something girls on the dancefloor then Jason Donovan's 'Too Many Broken Hearts' goes down quite well, along with Chesney Hawkes, but it has to be the right audience.

    Stars On 45

I think they sound a bit cheap and tacky so try to avoid playing them.
  9. It's true, I downloaded this out of curiosity and it is awful! I can't imagine myself playing this, but if it does continue to gain popularity then maybe i'll have to reluctantly. IMO it's just noise, but maybe that's me getting old! Anyway it's climbing the singles chart, probably top 20 by Sunday.
  10. Ah yes, I've actually ended a few of my school discos with 'We Will Rock You'. You can always get everyone to join in with the hand clapping and it looks and sounds great!
  11. Kids/teenagers love Cha Cha Slide, Macarena and Saturday Night. You can't go far wrong if you combine those songs with some Avril Lavigne (Girlfriend), Sean Paul (Temperature), Sean Kingston (Beautiful Girls) and Christine Aguilera (Candyman). Don't forgot a few rock tunes as well, namely 'Living On a Prayer', 'American Idiot' and 'Teenagers (MCR).
  12. According to todays Metro newspaper, this is the next dance craze (similar to Cha Cha Slide). Personally I haven't heard it yet, but its expected to be a hit around Christmas time. It's already been a US#1 single. Anyone heard it or played it yet?
  13. N-Trance - "Set You Free" Capella - "U Got 2 Let The Music" Farley Jackmaster Funk - "Love Can't Turn Around" Todd Terry - Somethings Going On Raze - Break 4 Love
  14. Ah just read the post by abcdiscos. Hmmm this is even more crafty!! Btw, I also received a couple of emails from fraudsters pretending to be Barclays Bank, requesting confirmation of my bank details to prove I was the account holder otherwise they'd "lock" my account. This was because someone had tried to illegally access it! As it happens I don't have a Barclays account anyway, so it was obvious this was rubbish, but i'll forward the emails to Barclays for them to investigate. People should NEVER give any banking details over the internet.
  15. Ta for starting this thread. I did think it was suspicious, this confirms my thoughts! I bet at some point they'd have requested your bank details so they could do a bank transfer! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/mad.gif
