Both nights at my residency this week Woo Hoo Ask me again next week its my big one of the year

My 10 year old daughter always helps me with the kids disco's & pretty much does everything Hopefully by November she will be djing my 11,12 & 13 year old night whilst the old man goes & does his residency

Is it me or is history repeating itself????? When i first started djing i always remember some singles were louder/ better quality than others Then when cd arrived they were all the same for a couple of years then the good/ bad cds arrived Is the same now happening with downloads???

Scooter....Fantastic Move your A55 when i 1st played it at a u18s night everyone hated it Now that they are all over 18 & visit me in my residency i have to all but play it every week as it has become a bit of a anthem

Im 37 & in a residency but still get asked to do 18ths & 21st which i do as long as my residency is covered I dont really like doing weddings but will if asked but if i end up doing them every weekend i will probaly pack it in On the plus side due to the fact i have 2 younger djs under my wing i would still keep my finger in the pie after all they all but run my under 18s nights

Not a problem for me as once i was bet a £100 (for charity) to dj naked others donated during the evening & we got over £900 by the end Must say that the building was cold that night tongue out icon

Your lucky being told to pack up & go home A couple of years ago i done a leaving do only the couple leaving did not drop the invites in to their guests until that morning I had a total of about 15 people till about 10 then i only had the couple who were leaving left, they did not ask me to pack away i had to play till 1am

I think its all down to who your working for, if im in my residency people know better than to prod me in the chest demand i play their tune that i played 5 mins ago because i would tell them where to go But at a wedding i would be a little more restrained & tolerate it more........ Well to a point

Easy weekend for me in my residency, last night was good tonight will be better

And looking at the bigger picture the only thing you pay is traveling, no ppl, no pli, no equipment wear & tear & the best thing no setting up no packing away Woo Hoo

I always keep my mobile on because i dont wear a watch, but it never rings as most of my gigs are either on Dartmoor or in a granite built building But i do find it funny on the way home when you get a couple of missed calls & messages left MY DJ HASENT TURNED UP CAN YOU HELP

I must amit i enjoy the residency & the fact its regular money it also gives you the choice of what bookings to accept

I love my residency & the agreement i have with the owner is that as long as i supply a d.j when i'm not there i can go & do my mobile But i must say due to my residency i get more mobile work than any advertising or agent

Friday night in my residency Very busy for a Fri lots of ladies turned up in school uniform from a party which was rubbish It made my night but forgot the camera Sat night pestered by friend to take a night off so ended up in Newquay danced for 4 hours, got home 5am knackered & broke Going again end of June tongue out icon
