Thursday - Club Residency 11 - 3am Friday - 18th in Wigan Saturday Afternoon - 2 Hour Kids Party in Carnforth Saturday night - 18th in Chorley Sunday Night - Wedding in Nottingham.

Hey all, Just thought I would share my experiences with what happened at my gig tonight, booked to do an 18th 7 - 12 in Wigan, everyone came in playing some club tunes which they requested stuff like moto blanco of morning after dark, inna - hot, touch me - tina more (that sax song) everyone was having a good time. It was fancy dress and so had the usual banter about the attire and then they had the buffet. Later on I started playing all the requests from the birthday girl and her and her mates were dancing but no one else so I played some classics and had a full floor.

Agree with what has been said, I think that the DJ needed to see the light in what he was doing a wedding and not an 18th. I run 2 Ohm RW5s, bit bulky but great sounding speakers and I still think sometimes I need a bit more bass for young peoples partied but not too over the top. I suppose it shows that money can buy you a nice rig, nice and compact and tidy and no matter on the size of your sound system it is down to the professionalism (if thats spelt right) of the DJ to judge what he function he is providing the entertainment for and his judgement should reflect in the way they act an

How do, Some of you know I work in radio I work for RockFM in Preston and bits and bobs for Radio 1, but it all started off in hospital radio. Now I still do this on a wednesday and me and two co presenters are looking to raise money for a new broadcast desk as running a studio off a 4 ch dj mixer isnt good. And so for this we are going to be doing 48 hours live on the radio thats a 2 day show and this will be broadcasted online aswell so everyone can have a listen. In my set up I have 8 fixtures and it looks like this: Dynamo | Datamoon | LED Par Can | Dynamo |Dynamo | LED Par Can | Datamoon | Dynamo Now the dynamos are linked up DMX through a CA8 controller I read the manual when I got them and they all work they are DMXed lovely lovely. Now is there a way I can link the 2 LED Cans together so they do the same thing without having to buy another controller just with a DMX Lead? If so what dip switches do I have to put down? If you go into my hard drive you will see lots of folders with common artists names: ABBA BEATLES CRAIG DAVID etc... But then in the same folder I have all my titles stored like: Numba 1 - Tinchy Stryder ft. Hey im hosting one this saturday looky: www.project09.co.uk I have been lucky in the fact that I know the venue owner and he has given it me for free to see if it works. I know a lot of bouncers from Preston as I used to DJ round there and they are going to come and give me a hand. I work for RockFM and had the big media bus out for a day and had plugs on air. How do all! I feel privilaged that my brother has asked me to teach him how to DJ. And instead of showing him on a laptop I thought I would use CD players. But its only for home use and my old ones are crap and when Im djing now I only use the clubs ones. So wondering if any folk have any old duals or CDJs knocking about. Dont have to be flightcased or anything like if they are duals not looking to spend masses of money either like £50/£100 something like that? Thursday - Working at JuiceFM Friday - Afternoon doing some balloon modelling for a shop opening. Saturday - Daytime I am doing a roadshow with RockFM, me DJing. And night I have a wedding. Sunday - Techoping Hit 40 UK for RockFM.

It depends how ill if I drop dead then I think the party might have to be put on hold for a bit at least so they can throw me out so I dont put a downer on it. But apart from that yeah, he might have to have a boost to do some links but yeah should be able to manage it. Lets hope it doesnt happen!
