I love Xmas and play Xmas songs most of the year (although not every night!) I stopped in September and will start again in December, stopping on NYE and probably starting again in March.

I sing all night and tap my feet but unfortunately I'm a terrible dancer so I give that a miss!!

In Northern Ireland there are certain traditional Irish sogs (or contemporary versions of them) that usually go down well. A song called "Horse It Into Ya Cynthia" has been phenomenally popular this year. There also seems to be a big country following over here. But as someone has already said, it also depends on what DJs are playing. You can get a crown to love an obscure song if it's good enough and you play it often enough.

I play So Macho quite regularly and it always goes down well. I was surprised to hear another DJ play it tonight and it got a great reaction.

A local DJ near me uses the phrase "Of course" repeatedly, even when it's entirely out of context. I have a terrible habit of starting every sentence with "OK folks" or "Alright folks". I just can't stop!

IMHO if there is one thing that can spoil a night's work, any night, it's having your partner there. Especially a night like NYE which is always exceptionally busy, and so she huffs even more than usual cos you aren't payin her enough attention. Or maybe I'm just goin with the wrong girls lol

I love the bouncing girl on the homepage, she has to stay!! I don't think there are enough photos of me on the site, but I can live with that. I think it's a great wee social site but not a good piece of self-promotion. I suppose it's all about what you want the site to be. Still better than mine anyway!!!

Hi all, I'm MiTCH and I'm based in Bangor, Northern Ireland. I'm a DJ/KJ/Quizmaster/Compere/Organiser/Promoter/Pretty much anything to make a few quid. Got into this game by accident a few years ago and loved it ever since. I've been very lucky and currently have 4 regular nights work a week and the odd one-off booking here and there. I've always loved music and have a reasonably broad range of tastes, although I've come to appreciate even more stuff through my work.
