  1. is it a dying art then i wonder? i have seen a few DJ's who crossfade and most people are left on the floor waiting to see what track he/she is going to play because they did not get the BPM right. It took me a long time to learn how to mix and when i do a function the BPM is the same from 1 track to another. I do small mixes not for the whole night but a small selection from the tracks they have requested before the night. I have had people ask me for things like abba megamix grease megamix and those alike, where is the problem with me mixing some of the tracks they have asked for before
  2. the younger parties love it, and i would never think of packing it in because someone asked for that type of music to be played at the end of the night.
  3. i dont do a whole night mix just a small amount of the play list there are times i need the toilet lol
  4. I always finish of with what they request and always a good 5 minutes before the end, so when i have played the last track and they ask for more ( which has happend a few times that is why i finish early but not) i always ask if they are going out to party and if yes i play basshunter now your gone and you should hear the girls scream lol floor fills and people leave all hyped up. I always get a bigger applause when i do something like that. I have even been called a legend
  5. had something like that before, girl comes over and says can you play errrrm it goes like and she starts to hum. i had no idea what the song she wanted and still to this day i have no idea have you ever heard a drunken hum lol
  6. 99% of the functions i do i like to get all the music from the client, and if i have time i pre mix from home and put on cd which will include most of the requested music. If i dont have the time i do it on the night with PCDJ and my cd's do you pre mix or not? i also upload my mixes to my podcast show.

    What A Classic

Give an older audience any day. Here is a youtube vid for those of you that don't know who she is http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7zvT6bEqPeE
  9. After nearly 14 years in the business i still get as nervous :fear: today when i do a function as i did when i did my first one. I never show it of course as that would not be a good idea. After setting up i go and get changed and sit in the car listen to a bit of classic FM to chill out. The one thing i can say is that up to date i have only had maybe 2 :moon: holes at a funtion who have said i was crap. I love it at the end of the night when you have played your last track and you get applause from the people who are left. Do you get nervous before a gig? and if you d
  10. In my contracts i ask for a deposit of £50.00 and the rest to be paid once we are set up and any extra time to be paid for the same night, to date it has worked for me. If a client asked me if they can pay after the booking date i have to say no as i dont want to be in the same situation as you. But IF i did i have in the contract that if payment is not received the following will occure: In the event of non-payment, Big B’s Mobile Disco retains the right to attempt collection through the courts. Purchaser will be held responsible for all court fees, legal fees, and collection costs
