  4. I totally agree on PLI and PAT I have both myself, Still use CD's and will only use mylaptop for Karaoke!! To overcome the problem of "Rouge DJ's" There should be a City & Guilds NVQ qualification brought out which DJ must pass before going public. To obtain the certificate after passing the NVQ course you should provide proof of PLA, PAT, Correct car/van insurance, and a valid Tax code!! (And digital DJ licence if using a laptop) This will sort the Men from the Boys!! Also would like to mention what some kids don’t get, It’s not good how good your disco gear is, it’s what the

Yes I can see where your comeing from but personaly my regular Sat night gig when Im not at my Chalet has a small area to set-up in all I need is PA as in-- My Gator box which has CDP's, minidisk, mic reciver, Mixer, Decoder, All built in - Amp - Speakers - Stands - Cables and thats it!! It takes in all 15 mins to set up from parking up to music on!! I feel ive saved quite a bit of time by haveing a big car, because Im not exactly craming it all in, moveing seats ect. As for the bass bins I do do big venues and out door events as well as small venues Rich

  14. Im considering buying some Peavey UL 15's top and bass after reading the peavey Pro 15 post. So ive had a quick look at prices on the new style UL's which is what I would want if I was to buy and found them at £650 for a pair of tops and £545 for the bass, Can anyone fined them cheaper?? Also im currantly useing Light weight Peavey PR15's Tops and Bass which are about 200W RMS how much would thease be worth?? They are in reasonable condition with usual scuff marks from transit. Thanks Richard
  15. I use the Peavey PR 15's I also have PR Subs, They are rated about the same as the Pro 15 aparently but dont have the black widow drivers but they still sound ace and can actually kick out some power!!! There plastic cabs and really light weight!! ===Recomended=== Thanks Rich PS. not to shure on the RMS all it says on mine are Maximum power 400w program and they are 8ohm speakers, My subs say max power 300w Prog also at 8 ohms, So what would be the RMS of these?? Unless any1 does the Tunnel Bar all other function rooms are right pains to get to, Its all lifts then long walks to the setup area I always ensure I add an extra 30 mins on to mi setup time. As for Ringwood Hall, That is a real nightmare!! You basically have to walk round the back of the manor house rufly 5mins walk each way that’s if your lucky to get the spot right at the end of the carpark, Then have to go through a conservatory to get to the function room where staff are preparing food 9 times out of 10!! Although It was a good night I would never go back there!! Thanks Rich
