hi to one and all, strange topic i know, have a very good collection of "halloween" type tracks, from the standards like m.jackson - thriller, monster mash, rocky horror etc. but would be gratefull for any suggestions of any tracks you may use, for this once a year night. have various sound effects as well, creepy ghost sounds,(strange but true), howling wolf etc. all suggestions would be gratefully recieved. fozzie :thanks:

Hi, I have for sale a Cortex HDC3000 controller. I have owned the unit for approx 3 months, with a view to using within my show. I also use a laptop in my show, and intended to use the cortex in conjunction with my laptop. after having used it at home, and at a couple of functions, decided that i would not get the use out of it that i expected, so here we have it for sale. I have the original box, instruction manual etc. The unit is in mint condition. i have listed the unit on e bay, but would like to offer the unit to anyone on the forum who may be interested. Hi, having read the various views on charity functions for free. may i make a sugigestion, one which i do for the same charity every year. as has been mentioned all charites can and will pay for a dj/ presenters services, including equipment hire etc. So, the local charity that i provide my services for, pay me, and i in return donate my earnings back to the charity. This to me would be a solution that works well for me. hope this helps.

I did explain to the people who organised the prom night, and explianed what the duty manager had said. I left it for them to discuss, with offer to complete my nights work up to the contracted finish time of midnight I agree that i was under contract with the school organisers, but as is mentioned in later posts, it is the venue who have the final say, as it is their license after all. Have had this scenario happen to me last month. Whilst working for a local agent, times etc on contract. arrived for a local School Prom, great night was had by all, until hotel duty manager approached me at 11.20 pm (contracted for a midnight finish), and said that music must be off by 11.30pm, spoke to prom organisers who started negotaiting with the hotel staff, meanwhile whilst i was trying to organise my rather abrupt finish sequence of songs,the duty manager pulled my mains lead out of socket on wall, lights went up in room, and you guessed it, "all hell" broke loose. school ch

I think that taking all the information supplied by you here at d.j's united into account, i will be purchasing a pro dub licence, as i download most of my music to an external hard drive that i then use via my laptop at a gig. Hi Glad you got it sorted, as i said i and previous owner have never replaced an LED on my starcloth. and your right about the value of the effect, i use it to go around my "giraffe" d.j stand, (covers all the wires etc), and at kiddies parties, the look of astonishment on the kids faces is priceless. thanks fozzie
