    Drum And Bass

I'm a drum & bass dj and though pendulum no longer release drum & bass anymore i would recommend anything by Sub focus and High contrast. The best tunes of the last few years are as follows If we ever - High contrast Oh Yeah - Jonny L Airplane - Sub focus Hurt You - Chase & status Racing green - High contrast Slam - Pendulum Timewarp - Sub focus Be True - Commix. Hope this helps
  2. I would recommend a pair of Tapco Thumps [TH-15A] as i own a pair and they are awesome. They are active speakers with 200watts per speaker [400 watts rms]. Each speaker has it's own eq's [top, 2 mid's & a low] and the bass they give out is stunning. The sound is crystal clear and they also look quite meaty. I got mine for £350 [new] from a mate but you can get them for £400 brand new. I mix drum & bass and they certainly do the job. They can also be used to play to upto 150 people!
  3. The new Korg kaos pad is excellent if you like to add effects to your mix, there are many effects available which you can change by moving your hand across the pad. What music are you looking to use this with? Personally i would get a mixer with built in effects [i use the pioneer djm400] as it would save you space and you will never use half the effects on the kaoss anyway. Hope this helps
  4. Bought a pair just last week and they are just superb! I only use them at home and the overall sound quality is stunning. My mate has got the Mackie 450's and there is only a very small difference in sound [hardly noticeable], especially as i only paid £350 for a pair including all the leads and cables. The eq on the speakers is excellent and the bass from the 15" woofer is thumping to say the least. I mix drum & bass and these speakers certainly can handle the bass! I've not had a problem with these and they seem to be built to last. Well recommended. 10/10
  5. I have the djm400 mixer and it is excellent. I mix hardcore & drum & bass & this mixer is perfect with it's smooth fader and excellent eq's. The digital sound is also first class and the effects can work wonders in the mix when used right. For a bedroom set up this is perfect. I only mix vinyl so i can't comment on the cdj's, though they do look awesome and i would definately consider them if ever mix cd's in the future.
