  1. Sorry to hear that.... Do you live on a main road or a side road?
  2. Denon still has a unit available. Dont forget the Pioneer But both of these are quite Expensive.
  3. :good: About time too. Anyway you need to start looking for a DJ .....now where would you start to look? :funjokeandlaugh: On a serious note congratulations to both of you :heartlove:
  4. For top / mid or full range I use Db Opera 402's these are active. For subs Mackie SWA 1501 again active. I can reccomend HK systems I have usesd the Actor and Lucas
  5. :welcome: to the forum Shaun. I will put my thinking cap on.....and try some names could you give us a little bit of info for the markets that you are aiming for to assist.
  6. I have purchased the Db Opera 415's and am well pleased with them good all round sound with a nice crisp sound. Yes had a demo of them side by side to the SRM 450 the Thumps lacked bass compared the 450's but there are videos on youtube on how to make the bass deeper and the speakers warmer (IMO they sound harsh) by adding a gasket seal to the cab.
  7. It is on the latest mobile DJ list of CDs from the CD pool

  10. Well I need to connect a SL1210 + 2 x CD Players and 2 48v Phantom Studio mics and an input for the phone. I understand that the phone software may work with the controller but I need to speak to the station owner as they have supplied all the software. most of the home based presenters have got all there music on hard drive but unfortunately I haven't hence the mixer. Just thought that the controller might be of use for both the mobile and radio but now I not so sure.
  11. The RMX seems to tick the boxes as Craig has pointed out. I think that I need to test drive one to see if it meets my needs fully. I am hoping to have the best of both worlds using it for Radio + Mobile work when I finally get time to start ripping my collection. They way that thats going I will be :spin: me thinks. Have I missed any other controllers that will meet my needs? Software that I will be using will be Virtual DJ. Currently using SAM Broadcaster for the Radio but am in the process of moving over to Virtual.
  12. Right I am looking for a USB / Midi controller with built in soundcard (ASIO Drivers) but I am getting confused when speaking to the Sales staff of stores. My needs are: - I need to be able to connect my Studio Mixer to an input for my radio broadcasting. I need it to also run Virtual DJ for broadcasting & I may end up using it for mobile DJing. I think that the contenders are: - American Audio VMS4 Hercules RMX Or what do you use / recommend? some of the sales staff seem to get carried away with tech specs etc. Or May be It would be better to get a cont
  13. I am in the same boat....I have also tried mixmiester. Because of my Internet radio connections I have to use either Sam or Virtual DJ. Virtual DJ trial copy that I have is easy to use and get around unlike Sam or Mixmiester where you need a degree to set the software up.
  14. Well Friday & Saturday Christmas Party's at the same venue but different locations on site. Fridays party should be fun as I am working with a 5 piece band..lets hope there is enough space. Remember be careful on the roads Tis the season to be Jolly so Don't Drink and DrIvE
  15. A taste of music from Butcheredbeats and Kelli-Leigh (Friends of mine) what do you think?
  16. I have used them a couple of times but recently nothing. Purchased the info for a 40th themed party (70's & 80's) right up my street. I submitted my price as per normal and spoke to the Lady several times sent out contacts and that was the last I heard from her, with the exception of an email to say that I had been under cut ! I only use GP to fill in in the quieter periods. But its up to them if they want to increase their fees and up to us if we / you choose to use their service. GP are IMO driving fees down by advertising cheap disco's / DJ's. But cheap comes at a price
  17. I was referring to the next statement The point that I was trying to get across was that we sent out over 100 questionnaires but only received about 20% back, out of those returned most of which were relating to the non playing of requests with only one of which was an active criticism that could be addressed. I agree that suggestions would be a better way to go.
  18. I have purchased a couple of secondhand units recently for smaller functions. IMO they are boring lights there is only a certain amount of configurations of Red, Green & Blue dots. Par cans are the exception they look ok when used for uplighting etc. There are now coming through the retro styles of lighting using LED's but they are very dim when put side by side to it Halogen counterpart. These lights are cheap to buy, require little maintenance but.....of my research and looking at items for sale appear not to be as reliable. There have been lots for sale on Ebay as job l
