I do karaoke and i could never imagine not playing tracks inbetween singers..sounds daft to me...I would of thought it best to keep the crowd entertained until the next..they even gives people ideas of what their going to ruin next lol

Yeah this happened to me so i upgraded anywho...got a yell.com ad and a yellow pages ad...not had anything from either yet. Although my yellow pages ad isnt published until august. I have basically got my name and number and a bit of other info

I do get asked for more 90's reggae tracks like bitty mclean and aswad,most of these tracks are on one cd called 100% reggae which i have had since 92!

I got asked to play about 3 songs twice over the course of my first gig. It was a 40th but ended up being more like a galaxy 102 dj or something just playing dance and RnB tracks,I dont like playing the same song twice but if it is requested i will!! I just got on the mic and told the crowd this song was a request from such a person just to cover my back!

just to add,just had a look with microsoft frontpage and it all looks very complicated!! Just going to get someone to do it for me!!

That are good and dont cost the earth? I just got meself a small one through vistaprint but i would really like a properly made one with all my relevant info on it and wot not... Has any of you had some company do one for you or did you make it yourself? I am very computer literate but dont really have a clue about building a website so going to use me dads moto:(if a jobs worth doing,its worth letting some other bugger do it!!) By the sounds of it i could really use one because i only advertise in local supermarkets and yell.com,my ad in yellow pages wont be published until august! J

Cheers...to be honest i dont think i will ever be a Dj that waffles on lol,I do like a laugh and a joke but i just like getting down to the music and key announcements,was kacking meself at the opening speech though haha

Did my first gig on fri and what a night it turned out to be..was a bit shy on the mic but let the music speak for itself..only real probs i had was my mic levels and what not(karaoke mics wasnt turned up whoops!) Luckily for me they pretty much just wanted dance and RnB all night which suited me fine!! Tried one 80's track which was im your man and got one person dancing lol,all in all most said it was a brill night! Ive been on a high ever since and cant wait to get another booking now..I love it lol!! Obviously i am expecting different challenges but as i get more confident( especail

Got me 1st gig on fri night which is a 40th,been building up me gear month by month since prolly august last year(i buy myself something at the end of every month lol!). now i have finally got everything and am ready to go!
