  1. Cheers Guys. That will make the rig look a lot better.
  2. Got one of these bad boys. Really happy with it but it doesn't quite fit under my Ultimax stand. Can I run this on it's side?
  3. Any memebers here got one of these yet? I am really interested in knowing the quality.
  4. Whatever woudl suit the occasion. Although I do have Paul Anka - Rock Swings and Motown remixed which are a couple of cracking albums to put on when you want quality background music. And, as someone mentioned before - those requests that woudl kill the dancefloor if played a little later on.
  5. I have always bought standard - for the CDmix3 and plastic 2U ones for Amps.
  6. Really dumb question - what are the differences between DMX adn XLR leads? I understand it io be: DMX = Lighting XLR = Sound Am I correct or are they much more dioefferent? Simon
  7. Thanks both - I don't have the best speakers in the world at the moment - Gemini GX400's. I have been running the amp at full whack since I got them and I think the Crown XLS402 amp I have suits them quite well. However, I am going to try and sell my amps and speakers to have some cach to buy some DB Active Tops. You have probably guessed by now I don't understand impedance and ohms - it is either, too quiet, too strained or just right! All that bendig up and down will not do me any good. I am gigging wiht the set up on Saturday so I will keep my eye on the flashing lights on the am
  8. Hi Steve, Did you manage to get the measurements you were after? I have just got my 05 today and am happy to measure for you. Cheers, Simon
  9. Well, my Sub 05 has arrived and I set it up at home for a road test. Initial impressions are very positive, loads more bass than before (obviously!) Not too big or heavy - I would definitely receommend. Does anyone have any receommendations about volume levels? On my CDMix3, Amp and on the Bass bin? I normally run the Amp full volume and adjust the master on the CDMIX 3. Should I continiue to do this and have the volume on the Bass Bin max? Just control the volume by the master on the CDMix? Cheers, Simon
  10. I can't thank you enough Kingy, you have been very useful and I am going to go ahead and order one. Cheers, Simon
  11. Thanks. Last question I promise! What cables do I need to connect the whole lot together? Any recommendation where to source from? Cheers once again!
  12. Thanks Kingy - sounds like I need a 15" sub then What about the extra money for the Sub 15 rather than the Sub 05 - worth the extra £100?
  13. Thanks Kingy - How do they compare in size? Just thinking about room in the car? Is the 15" one much bigger? Also, I am presuming I can link up a couple of passive speakers and my amp with the sub 05 no probs? Cheers in advance, Simon
  14. Anyone got one? Anyone use one? What do you think of it? Good purchase? Any advice would be welcome.
  15. Thanks once again all. I will look at the DB Sub and keep an eye out for the Mackie sub 2nd hand maybe. The Star Booth does look mighty fine, maybe a little out of my league (at the moment). Anybody got a star cloth they wish to recommend? It is good to hear that my set up is competitive and seems to tick most of the boxes. One more question. Can anyone receommend a controller I could use for the iRock barrels? I have a lead linkig them toegether so they do the same thing but would be great to be able to control the damn things. Just like I have with my datamoons. *Stupid
