  3. Hi guys, Just thought I'd drag this thread up again to see if any of you have now experienced any of the lex lights. A few sellers on ebay seem to have them at a good price. I know that you usually get what you pay for, but they seem pretty good value for money. link- http://electronics.shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?...6.c0.m270.l1313 Thanks in advance, Gary
  4. Hi Barry, I'm a midi user, with m-audio's xponent and their new torq 2.0 software. I'm a big fan and find the interface between hard and software is very intuitive and it works seamlessly. I have also mapped a korg nanopad to the software for sample/jingle triggering and it's really straight forward to do. I also have a pair of numark ICDX media players that have HID control for software and they work really well with virtual dj, and have the added bonus of being able to play from cd's, dvd's and external hard drives. In honesty, I'd rather leave the heavy cd cases etc at home (Iknow they're not as heavy as vinyl), but I also like having my back covered. Second truth is that I'm a bit of a gear junkie and
  6. I think the whole entertainment/hospitality industry is struggling. When you walk past a pub thats offering a meal for £1, it yells desperation to me!! :fear:
  7. Hey guys, :djuhi: My name is Gary, I'm 38 and I operate G-Bace mobile dj services from planet Thanet in East Kent. I've been a member for just over a year, gleaning some great advice and tips from you all, and thought I should formally introduce myself. I've been djing for quite a few years at home, and have been going out for about 2 years now, running it alongside my 'proper' job as a catering manager at a secondary school (plenty of 18ths ;-) ). Have managed to get together a pretty good rig now, and run with m-audio xponent and torq 2.0 with a pair of newmark icdx (cant trust lapto
