NYE was at my residency, a local hotel. It was a ticket only do with hot & cold buffect and casino.

Average age was around 45, so plenty of 60's and 70's.

Was monitoring R1 for the big ben chimes, nearly caught me out as there was little or no build up!

Played Frank Sinatra's version of Auld Lang Syne, which was too slow for the crowd, so quickly changed over to Glen Miller's version, even this had to be sped up to keep up with the party crowd.

Was booked for a 2am finish, so had a plan of scottish dance, 70's and 80's party music. Landlord came over at 12.30 and said to finish at 1am! This really upset the play list, http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wacko.gif but at least it was home earlier! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

If you want to hear my NYE, complete with dodgy mixing there is a low quality web version here - right click to download a 31.6Mb mp3 - for some reason, clicking on this will only play part of the file. You will need a spare 3 hours, and ear defenders http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/laugh.gif It was a very cheesy party! The first 17 minutes were background music. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/hide.gif

This will self destruct soon http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/laugh.gif
