YourBigEvent 0
Why a paper diary and a PDA ? Surely the PDA is the only one you need, sync with Outlook and you are always up to date, and if you have an exchange server you can suto sync via GPRS, or WiFi, so no need for the paper version.... .....but what do I know ? scotty 0
If the pda runs out of juice and the backup battery goes you lose all the settings and it re-installs all the apps etc... anyway i only get the xda out when i want to show off I dont have an exchange server in my house !! that would be silly.. i do have wi-fi and sync my xda with outlook using that not via gprs its a bit cheaper that way !! although i did set it up for gprs the other day so i can get my emails anywhere but the battery ran out to quick http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/533.gif and i got P:cense:d off with it http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/rolleyes.gif Scotty KING OF DISCOS We're what parties were invented for ! YourBigEvent 0
Technology lost on Scotty I think http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/smile.gif If BOTH batteries run out you would lose it until you sync'd again, but what if you lose your paper diary. Buy a spare power adaptor foir your PDA, in fact I may have one you can have.... GRASP TECHNOLOGY WITH BOTH HANDS .....but what do I know ? YourBigEvent 0
I'll call you tomorrow and convert you mate. I have taken loads of bookings by closing the deal straightaway because I knew where I was etc etc etc, even taken 'initial deposits' off people who 'just enquired'. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/tongue.gif .....but what do I know ? brianmole 0
PDA and contact sheet (paper) for me, bloody PDA loses everything when the battery dies, I need a new one!
YourBigEvent 0
Buya new battery then. If you are getting a new PDA make sure it is running Windows Mobile 5.0 as this does lose the memory if the battery fails. .....but what do I know ? Andy Westcott 0
My favoured method was to list bookings on a home-made year planner, with more detailed information kept on file. Nice at-a-glance system of knowing exactly where you are. Wouldn't work well if fitting in 3 or 4 bookings a week though - too cluttered then. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/smile.gif
