Guest ian
I sure hope so, I wanted to look at some cool Abstract lighting but even their stand was pants. It has lost it's mobile appeal, that's why I won't be going this year unless something fab happens.
Rob 0
Feet don't usually touch the ground on the Sunday. Between the DJ Comp and the stand! I'm sure we can stand a couple of beers though. (Gets flattened in the rush). Or let me know where you'll be. I think I can get away with going on most manufacturers stands! Maybe Mikeee will be host?

mikeee 0
Chris, As rob appears to be offering http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/laugh.gif , as well as the PLASA badge, how's about boy's and girls, a MOBILE DJ CHAT badge, then we will all recognise each other........... A simple design that we can all print off ..playing all the hits for you... ....whether you may be.... Why can't I see what i going on???
The Spindoctor 0
Sounds like a good idea to me, don't let 3G design it though........... something is bound to go wrong!! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/oops.gif

ChrisPointon 0
Yeah, its getting closer!! Soon be September and the Plasa. I like Mikeee's idea about a D.J's united badge http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/smile.gif - any budding Graphic Designers want to volunteer a design??. With regard to numbers, i'll run a poll later in the Summer to see how many DJU members will be attending. Maybe I should have a word with those nice folks at Gemini, to see if we can use their stand as a meeting point. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/smile.gif
martink 0
tis a gadget freak's paradise - I'll definately be there. I'm also pretty local and it would great to say hi to members. I met Gary there last year and discovered we both share a fondness for flamboyantly coloured shirts! Chris, you should also arrange for some Gemini t-shirts? Gary 0
I didnt think that the companies were supposed to sell anything from the stands...just demo stuff, look wisely and friendly as the competitors stand staff try to take photo's of "Prototyped" gear... and hand out leaflets etc.. The main reason being the beefy security guards at the Plasa doors wondering where you're off to with that £4000 vari-light under your coat... until you show them the nice receipt, and the other reason being the even beefier thugs at the entrance to the Tube station, wondering where THEY'LL be off to, with your new light...leaving you with the pretty receipt flapping in the wind. Having said that, accessories are normally ok... I got some good deals on light bulbs, CD case, confetti launchers etc...
