Anybody give me some advice with regards to going to Plasa. This is my first trip so do I go B&B or Hotel and whats the best way to get there ie Train or Bus. I know you're all not travel agents!!! but any past experiences might help me choose the easiest option. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/533.gif

PS. I'm travelling down from North Lincs.

Thanks

Let the train take the strain to earls court!! If you are staying then I suggest you ask in a very polite way if there are any "saints" who would like you as a house guest over night... come on guys... take pity on the poor young thing... I would offer but I dont know if im going yet..........!

WE LOVE KAREN, AND IT'S GREAT TO HAVE HER BACK !!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm from Kent, but I take the train to Victoria, then the subway to Earls court.

But this year I might be catching a lift http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I missed last year's, so I'm looking forward to going this year again. Sunday looks like it's going to be fun. I'll see who I can meet even though I've only just registered on the forum.

Has pre reg closed, as it said on the PLASASHOW site that last admissions were supposed to be in by 2nd August? If it has are those cheap (or free http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif ) tickets still available?

22nd of August is the cut off for pre-registering.

P.M me your address and i'll register a free ticket for you. I'll need to send it directly to CTS on your behalf though since there isn't time for me to post you the application and then you post it to them!. I'll need your Name, Address and Roadshow Name.

Then you should get your badge in the week leading upto the 7th Sept.

I'll be shortly posting a list of DJU members who are going to attend on the Sunday. We will be arranging an informal DJU meeting point during the Afternoon so we can all get together.

There will be a special PLASA chat held in our chatroom on 3rd September from 8pm to discuss who is going and where to meet etc.

If you still haven't got your tickets and don't want to pay £12.00. I should be getting 500 discount vouchers, or something. These will get you in for a fiver.

..playing all the hits for you...

....whether you may be....

Why can't I see what i going on???

Got my ticket, and I am thinking of staying up there overnight too, I was driving back late Sunday evening and then driving back to London early on Monday evening to pick someone up from the airport but I have decided to stay overnight. There is a 'mens club for over 18's' I know of in Slough, or Paula could 'entertain' us !! Maybe I'll just find a B&B and sit quietly in the corner of the room then.

.....but what do I know ?

Just a quick question then....just to confirm...are we (DJ's United) all meeting up at a particular stand, location, at a particular time then?. I think that a couple of locations/times got mentioned, then Mikeee mentioned that the TVDJA will have a plot of land (@ £a few million per square foot http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/blink.gif), so people could be all over the place.

Sunday is the obvious day to meet up. But just in case there isnt a clock tower, and good supply of carnations ( http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/hug.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/tongue.gif ) where and when...?

Looking forward to it, my ticket came this morning.

Let's arrange a meeting place as soon as possible, although on prevoius experiences you'll know Gary and Mikeee from thier shirts, Shaun will have a 'friend' Dan will be in a foul mood, Paula will have one eye closed and Karen will have a bloke called Bugger with her

.....but what do I know ?

Yep!

The 'shirts' are not going to be ready in time - the quote was from a really cheap local firm but they are under tons of work!!!!!

So - I cancelled the order for now......will wait to see how many 'turn-up' at the PLASA venue, and I'll take a measure or two?

Want your inside leg measured CP?! OH! Suits you! Oh! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

If Mikeee could suggest a time slot - say 1.00pm, we could have a look around - meet up - pass comments and swap suggestions for things to have a closer look at!

Failing that - we could meet at 9.00am - 10.00am at the very first stand we see - which could be quite funny if we all walked off together afterwards!!!!

Why not meet outside the ladies at 11.am or the Gents at 12.00pm

Why not go to TVDJA's stand - all sign up and give them some attention!

Stand outside the ladies loo, AND use it as an official meeting place. FANTASTIC idea

Why is everybody expecting me to post the answer??? Leadership is not me, so fight amongst yourselves!. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/smile.gif

LoL, not likely to be there much before lunchtime since the rabble coming with me always insist on stopping for grub at every service station between Sandbach and London! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/wacko.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/wacko.gif

By 1.00 i'm usually looking for somewhere to park!!!. Perhaps Paula could tie a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/tongue.gif .

anyone that wants to meet before the show could do at the west brompton entrance then perhaps go in together, failing that it's probaly best to meet on the TVDJA stand http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif lets give Mike some grief!

Anyone that has my address! & you know who you are!

Dont knock unless you come baring gifts or are extremly very very brave........I'd like the kam 1500 fo those of you with spare cash or some choccies!! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/tongue.gif

We are at R91, and we have a whole 2mtrs x 2mtrs. Before I commit to a time, although 1.00 sounds good, there are some chats going on and I will probably want to "gate crash" a couple of them.

OK, I'll try for 1pm too...depends how busy the Denon stand is, an whether anyone asks for a FULL demo of the 3000, 5000, or 9000 at 12:45...argh!

The Denon stand is G90, and thats only two stands aways from the PLASA CENTRAL MEETING AREA - which is in the very centre of the ground floor.

Go here for a floorplan of the ground floor...this map zooms and scrolls too...

http://www.plasashow.com/redirection.asp?u...com/welcome.asp

even if I dont get snowed under, and cant make the 1pm (on time), come and visit me on the stand anyway. easy to remember - - G90...G for Gary, 90 for Mikeees age http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
