Is there any chance we could see some photos????

Unless the photos turn up on some dodgy website from the boys mobile phones, no.

Maybe next time I wear said outfit, I will take photo http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

Wedding reception at Kimbolton Castle, Cambridgeshire

Over 200 guests. Packed floor all evening.

Groom was Scottish and we arranged to finish with Runrig's version of "Loch Lomond". Got everyone in a big circle before the bride and groom departed.

Delighted bride, groom and parents and several enquiries from potential clients.

A really enjoyable gig!

big group of lads crowded round taking my photo and saying "Your fit" http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif (I did have a new reasonably skimpy top on, I am sure that had nothing to do with it!)

Can I have your digits please flower?

Funny, I had to finish Saturday night with this track too. Live version bought by the birthday boy. Sorry to say, although the few Scots there enjoyed it, it was rather poor!

All please http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/hug.gif

Saturday night, I met up with Jamie, aka DJWesty, and his dad, who came and met me at my Exeter gig, a upper market hotel, they kindly gave me a lift in woth the kit (managed it get it out in one trip lads !!)

Expecting 200, about 150 turned up, all under 21 http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fear.gif

So R'n'bloody B most of the night, until the lads got completed P:cense:d.

First hint was when I was playing Fatman Scoop and walked to the bar, and hear Billy Ocean over the top, some t http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/188.gif at had be pressing my buttons !

Got back, never run, as it was not my fault it was inaudiable http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif , said something on the mic, and carrried on, then the lads thought it would be a good idea to jump off the stage whilst the other caught them...........you guessed it, one cracked head later and they decided to play rugby on the danefloor instead.

Managed to calm them down by playing some crap, which I knew nobody would dance to, then was told I was crap blahj blah blah, one for the experienced DJ to handle.

By 0015hrs I started playing slowies to calm everyone down, and people started to leave, again telling me how crap I was, was glad to see 0100.

Home by 0300 too, was going to meet Jim, centrestage-entertainments for a coffee but needed to get home as up for 0630 today to do a wedding fayre.

.....but what do I know ?

saturday night did a 60th birthday party out in the sticks.

now personnally i thought it was poor, not much dancing etc..

however have since took a booking from the guys daughter for her birthday party, and his wife who wasn't going to have a party untill she enjoyed herself so much on sat.

just goes to show how different people expect differing things from a party.

Did my step daughters 5 th day on sat, 25 screaming kids invited, 9 turn up, bit of a disapiontmentSo

It is a little annoying when people don't turn up when they say they will. They rule is 1/3 of people who said they will come will not turn up. For every party I have ever done I have found this pretty much spot on. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sad.gif

With the kiddies at the moment there are loads of really bad bugs going around both my kids have been off for over a week in the last month, hubby has it now http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sad.gif

Better luck next year http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

How much do you get paid at Gatecrasher for a thursday ? Its good to get paid for 2 gigs in one night but £300 for 2 gigs for a Gatecrasher dj is rubbish money , as a Gatecrasher dj you should be on at least £500 a set !

I will try anything,once!

I have a good mate (No names) who works for a popular radio station and if am not wrong its the same company as Hallam Fm. He gets £300 for 1 hrs set. Also free drinks and free accomadation.

The point being £300 for 2 gigs is a little low. Also he doesn`t gig in a club the size of gratecrasher.

Not sure whether one can expect to get paid top moolah for playing pop, chart & cheese student anthems :
