Gary 0
I have a 7inch single of "Instructions for setting up your Decca Stereogram", but as far as CD's go...Dire Straights: Brothers in Arms CD from about 1985. Ah, back in the days where you could assess the quality of the CD contents by looking at the combination of 3 A's or D's on the cover of the CD. The A's were Analogue, the D's were digital, so a CD with "DDD" on the cover meant that it was recorded digitally, mastered digitally, and output digitally. The 3rd "D" obviously had to be digital, as it was a CD you were looking at. The poorest quality, (but still pretty good) was "AAD", and DDD seemingly (I never looked into it properly) could only apply to totally digital music such as Jean Michell Jarre. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wacko.gif

I've got one of his CD's. Good stuff! That may be the oldest I have actually. Something from the mid 80's anyway. I'd have to look. BigBen 0
Police - Message in a Bottle was the first record I ever asked someone to buy for me. Madness - Night Boat to Cairo was the first record I actually bought myself. Showaddywaddy - Crepes and Drapes was the first album I asked for. Jasper Carrot was the first album I actually bought. As for CD's...the wife purchased my first ever CD player for me and she got me three CD's with it - two went straight back to the shop but I still have The Cure, so that must have been my first one!
