mini disk

I am having trouble recording cd's to my mini disk player, it is conected via my mixer to my twin cd player, It has only started to be a problem recently. play back of previously recorded mini disks is okay. The problem is a soon as the record button is on the sound becomes distorted , well hollow or tinny. I have changed the conecting cable, also tried a different output socket from the mixer.

 

I would appriciate any help.

Have you tried the MD on any other system, or a different MD recorder on your system to rule out the MD player as the problem ?

Sounds like a bit of feedback! Have you got the 'play' phonos connected from the minidisc player back to the mixer? Disconnect them whilst recording if so.

Sounds like its in a loop...

 

as said before pull out the play back cable from your mixer...

 

or for better resutls connect the digital output from your cd player to the digital input on the mini disc recorder, but you can't record mixes this way.

Or buy a mixer with a digital out.
