Hi everyone

I've just been invited to attend a DJ audition for a company called "Live Music Management" who supply DJs to 400 bars UK-wide (including Walkabout).

Has anyone ever attended one of these auditions, and know what to expect?

My client portfolio is quite good at the moment (see sig.) but I've never had to audition for anyone. The closest I've come is doing one-off nights in venues then being asked back - but this audition is in front of just 3 area managers.

Any advice from my fellow DJU-ers will be thankfully received http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

I audition once during my summer season, they were looking for DJ / game show host / walkabout.

Basically myself and 10 other DJ's turned up at a bar in Slough and had to host a game show and DJ in front of the others. Very straight forward really I got the job but decided to turn it down as the money was crap.

DJ Frankie Knuckles.

I agree!

Its nothing to worry about, just be yourself! If you worry about what they expect, it may effect your confidence, so just do it as you do!
