Citroen XM turbo Estate. Biggest estate I have ever owned. You can raise and lower the suspension for loading (as you can on most Citroens). Also the ride isn't altered by the load.

Previously had a Volvo 850 T5 estate - bit small for a Dj rig I think. Fast though!

Before that a Volvo 740 turbo (I like turbos) estate - better than the 850 space wise.

Isn't there some kind of rule for youngsters about the weight ratios of trailer and car? Surely, the Megane is very light compared to the contents of your trailer?

One step ahead there Brian! The megane has a pulling power of 1300kg, and my trailer is only rated at 1000kg so no worries! It's a suprisingly heavy little car, although as it is the saloon version, i guess that adds some weight. Plus it has a huge boot, so anything that can't go in the trailer will be swallowed up in the back of the car! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

Just looked at your website... is all the equipment in the pictures, your own? Because that is one big rig, and dare i ask how much you payed for your flightcases!  !

Yup, all that was mine, but they are about 8 months old now those photos, the show has changed and grown since then! Now running 6m of Astralite rather than the 4m in those pictures! As for the flightcases, i was using a big 6 foot by 3 foot trunk on wheels to pack all the lighting into, but it was impossible to lift it! So now i am using "Really Usefull Boxes" and they are fantastic! Cost £10 each from staples, line them with foam and they do the job perfectly! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif

I'll bet they would if she was the owner.

yes, those trunks are rather heavy, especially if your gigging upstairs! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fear.gif

My main PA for live work, i used to have a big trunk for casing all the racked equipment, cables, mixer, the lot fitted in their, other than speakers, amps..etc... but was so heavy to lift... so im slowly (when ive got the time) have been making separate cases for it all!! http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif

Peugot partner with or without trailer, depending on job for work. Toyota Corolla when not working, or Yamaha XS1100 trike (now if I could only fit a towbar to it....)

Steve... Mad bad & dangerous to know

Better to study for one hour with the wise, than to drink wine with the foolish.

The opinions of Corabar Steve are not necessarily those of Corabar Ltd or any of it's subsidiary companies

Ahh what a classic! Veeery roomy, plenty of space. My Dad's still got his old E reg - used to borrow it for gigs (after his old 240DL rustbucket expired).
