The bootleg remix that most people now know actually used the bassline from a wicked Chicago house track by Jamie Principle called Your Love. Your Love was an absolutely classic piece of house and well worth looking for if you've never heard it; a much better record than The Source & Candi Staton IMO. I think it's on a Channel 4 compilation I have called The History of House. I use a DMC/Steve Anderson/Brothers in Rhythm) remix of the track which has a great summery feel to it.(like most Steve Anderson tracks) The other track that seems to get regularly remixed almost as much - was that "I wanna give you devotion". I'd guess the reason for that is cos the record was originally released as Frankie Knuckles presents Jamie Principle - Your Love; because at the time Knuckles was the main man on the Chicago house scene and anything he released sold by the bucket load and so sometimes he would lend his name to a song which was enough to sell a few thousand more copies! but he had no input whatsoever in to the Jamie Principle track. It pops up as a remix on the latest version, with the vocal over the top, retitled "You Got The Love (lys and gigi remix)" Link to post Share on other sites
