Maybe a bit early to post this, but what the hey!

I was out last night at a local school for a disco Years 7 - 10.

Arrived late due to various factors but all set up in time.

IT WAS HOT!!! So, asked for all doors to be opened and the 4 industrial fans to be put on (it was a very big sports hall). Cooled it down. I had my own fan http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/tongue.gif

Got there not expecting anything....hadn't really thought about it....and the night was a scream! Best one I've done for ages. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif

2 guys shake my hand and say thanks at the end, round of applause too, 2 girls in Year 7 or 8 I'd say ask my name and make a point of saying thanks at the end of their set (the younger ones left at 21.15) and I even got some of the staff dancing to a slow track!

Gems on the night then:

1) Year 7ish girl says: "So have you got all the CD's then?"

I nearly said, "What, all tens of thousands of chart hits?!" http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/fear.gif

2) The usual "Got anything good", "What have you got".

Suprises of the evening:

1) Austin Powers Theme - played with the older guys and they loved it, never played it to dance to before.

2) KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See - loved it too - used to link between younger dudes slow ones and getting it going again.

This night has also made me post a new topic ref/ mp3 players: look out for it!

Song to play for this weekend then...........

Busy one for me:

Thursday day time: Doing a soundlimiter test for the local council/local hotel to make sure all their levels are set right. Nice easy way to earn some cash! Just turn up with a CD player, an amp and a speaker! Job done!

Thursday Evening: Out with Vinnie for an under 18's night at a local college. What with the vinster being so out of touch now he thought he should take some young blood along who knows what they are doing with this sort of crowd http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/tongue.gif http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/hide.gif

Friday: 6th Form Leavers Ball for my old high school. Should be a laugh as i know most of hte people that are going to it. Only problem is the venue they picked has a really horrible sound limiter. Ah well, the band are on first so they can explain it to the guests http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/smile.gif

Saturday: Another 6th form leavers ball, in my favourite venue in Kent this time! It's an all girls school, so should be fun http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/flirt.gif

Austin Powers Theme.....should be able to get it in every night me thinks! What is the track actually called though? Or is it just The Austin Powers Theme? Also the artist would help me out? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/thumbup.gif

This weekend is very quiet for a change! Apart from Sunday having a boot sale so hopefully can reclaim the garage and loft back!

Have a good one!

Have a pile of work waiting for me on my return. Including a new daytime job, many more nightime DJ gigs and trainng for the Special Constabulary.

Not only that but I'll have to find a new place to live! When I get back the tennancy on my apartment expires so it'll be a rush to get somewhere!
