I'm sprised by the reactions about this shirt. Have none of you seen them before???? They (or copies of them) were everywhere about 2 years ago!

The original ones (I had one when they first came out) appeared about 2 - 3 years prior to that & were originaly arround on the Rockabilly / Psychobilly scenes.

The stylised flames are of the same sort of design as those painted on the Hot Rods & Custom Bikes that are also popular within these scenes Check the 1939 Ford here Or this bike

I suspect some of this is leg-pulling, but I have to say I am surprised too at the reactions, some of which I feel may be genuine.

Once it doesn't make your face look washed out, I'd say go for it.

The colouring is very strong though if your complexion can't take it.

I'm also quite surprised.... surprised that you're surprised http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wacko.gif

He already explained how his wife and daughters nearly wet themselves laughing at how bad the shirt was and the lack of taste displayed and yet you guys are surprised that so many on here also don't like them!? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/huh.gif

C'mon guys surely you can see that the shirt is awful, I wouldn't even wear that to a fancy dress party http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/rolleyes.gif

May I just congratulate Eddie on being a very good sport for maintaining his dignity whilst everyone on the forum (apart from those with similar bad taste http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/tongue.gif ) pokes fun at him, or his shirt anyway..

It might be enough to drive some guys over the edge. . . .

Come to think of it, he hasn't posted here in a while . . .

"come back Ed . . ."

"Eddie, come back" (didn't the Equals sing that? http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/wacko.gif)

"Ed c'mon back, I like the shirt, really I do, its my favourite colour" http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/rolleyes.gif

In it's natural environment Here Here Here & Here The last one is one of the originals, like mine (minus the superimposed stars)

I wouldn't wear it to a gig, unless it was a Rock 'n' Roll night such as the one I did with these guys

I think you'll find that in the very 1st post he says:

which is probably the reason he's not replied http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Hi All,

Just got back from Spain, very good holiday, didn't wear the shirt, very hot, spent most of the time with next to no clothes on (not a pretty sight I grant you).

Thanks for all the replies folks, had a bloody good laugh reading them, http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/071.gif shoulders nearly as broad as my belly so no problem with anyone's comments, all good banter.

Now trawling through 5 pages of "posts since last visit" so lots to enjoy.

Eddie.
